Hey, Mike, I wanted to thank you for your updates last night since I wasn't able to follow things that well.

As I said, I guess there were no surprises.

Famous last words.

I like Shepard Smith but you'd have to be as confident as a pit bull to be on a panel moderated by him.

He's pretty testy. He seems to roll with only two gears:

1. pissed off

2. very pissed off.

Is it me or does that monkey look oddly like Keith Olbermann....

You're welcome. I gave up watching around 12:30, though, because it looked like Obama was going to win Indiana. Thankfully, when I woke up today, I saw Hillary pulled it out.
MSNBC doesn't have a "here's-how-you're-wrong-and-I'm-right attitude." It has a our-competition-stinks/we're-the-best/they're-the-Worst-Person-in-the-World/let's-mock-them/everyone agrees-with-us-here attitude. And there isn't any "nascent back-and-forth" between Oralmann and BOR. BOR doesn't acknowledge him other than referring to him as "elements at NBC News" or "an NBC News commentator."

Mike, my eyebrows raised at that "nascent back-and-forth" and give only one quote from BOR foolishness too. Exactly who is watching what to turn the truth up side down so glibly?

Cecelia, I saw very little last night but from what I saw you described him accurately.

Although I haven't watched TV nearly as much, including Fox, as I did before finding the Net I was surprised. He always struck me in the past as a very pleasant, even tempered good natured man. But lately I have seen more than one outbreak of this 'testiness'?

The Chelsea question regret, the cult escapee, last night.

I wonder whats up with him, if anything.

Shepard's moderating skills were on display more on the Strategy Room stream at FOXNews.com than during the telecast.

Shep was great online. I loved it. I tried to hype it up on TVNewser, but they only posted one of my comments on their live-blog thing.

Slow day for comments here. Oh, well. We'll see what happens in tomorrow's thread.
Meanwhile, I knew CNN was going to win big last night. And I knew MSNBC was going to come in second in the demo. FNC came in second in total viewers. It was, after all, two Democratic primaries.
The only FNC show where "you're my boo" has a chance of being uttered is "Red Eye." Maybe "Studio B," the "Fox Report," or "Fox and Friends," but that's it.
I hate to admit it, but people like Brit Hume and Bill Kristol are not going to win ratings by having the voices or the demeanor that they do. The average viewer does not want to hear mellow old/middle-aged men. They want to hear loud old/middle-aged men. There's plenty of them at MSNBC and CNN on primary night. Having said that, I'm a loyal FNC viewer and will watch no matter what. But I just know that others are put off by the mellow men that will lull them to sleep. And the average viewer probably believes the anti-Fox propaganda.
I really hope I'm wrong in my negative, pessimistic assumptions.

I suspect that Chris Wallace may take over election duties when Hume retires or perhaps semi-retires to a role where he appears occasionally rather than nightly. Or maybe Shepard Smith who is the antithesis of "mellow".

John Stewart, while no Fox friend, had McCain on tonight. He had Newt on last week. Very friendly, yet provocative, interviews.

MikeC, just speaking for myself, I'm particularly fond of mellow old/ middle-aged men.

I like them. I was just worried about what people that have never watched FNC would think watching primary night coverage when hosted by Brit Hume.
