It's the weekend & you want to start it on an up beat note. Thursday's Cable News Nielsons put a smile on my face as KO finishes 5th in the demo & 10th in total audience while FoxNews dominated. Hope & Change?, not so fast MSNBC!

It was great to see Brian and Steve on F&F this morning and not Clayton Morris

They are so much better with Alysyn than with Gretchen

Brian is a workhouse. 3 hours of F&F, 3 hours of radio, and an hour of The Strategy Room. I think on F&F he earns the slot of 'most valuable player'.

J$ and Bababooey I agree, If you think Brian is funny on F&F when he is hosts the Strategy Room he is a hoot, he says stuff he can't get away with on F&F.

Johnny spot on about Brian, he is the main reason I watch FF, I just wish they would move Carlson to the weekends, and let Alysyn to the weekday. Sure doubt that would happen. Johnny is Gretchen's husband also her agent, I know his is Ryan Howards agent.

Baba there's a link I just added ('A-Team') that agrees precisely with what you just said.

Thanks Johnny, I just read it. Could Gretchen high powered agent husband be the reason that she has the weekday show, she is not bad, but Aly is so much better.

I'm amazed Wolf Blitzer even shared that little confab with O'Brien, let alone calling her metaphor "interesting".

Yes-- people, this the quality of the analysis that we're getting from our journalist informers now. This is what composes their private chit-chat.

'Yes, Wolfie, that hero pilot has nothing on Obama! Why, he'll bring this big ole crashing airliner of state down to a smooth landing. We just all have to pitch in together...'

Can you imagine David Brinkley or John Chancellor ever admitting to such a puerile and groupie-like conversation about ANY politician?

The Foxers appear to be taking the inauguration coverage hard....It's funny watching the different shows...No one looks like they want to be there...Just their true colours showing through I suppose...The 180 degree flip-flop will be complete Tuesday.

That's correct Haggy - that's the day
He begins to break the campaign promises and Keith "Czechoslovakia" Olbermann goes along for the ride, doing a complete 180 on so many of the opinions he's expressed over the last few yearsl.

BTW Haggy, it's now Day 41 of your absolute inability to back-up your claim:

Bret Baier...He did something wrong...I just can't remember what...I'll get back to you.

Will today be the day when Haggy does something what is so known to be un-haggylike? Will he/she actually back-up a claim with real facts? We'll see.

But In all honesty Ashley we should give Obama the benefit of the doubt, he is taking over a monumental mess that the Bush presidency has left him, and with Olbermann you know he would never admit when he is wrong he would just spin it, pretty much the way that Sean Hannity tries to spin things.
Do we really want Obama to break any of his campaign promises that will help our economy and our standing as a world power. If we are true American's, Democrat or Republican, the answer is no. Ashley, do you want Obama to fail? If you are a true supporter of our constitution then the answer is no. And that is what is most important.

Mr. Booey,

Please read the Constitution.

The appropriate questions are "What will President Obama try to do? Will his agenda be good or bad for the country?"

My guess is there will be different opinions as to the answers to those questions.

And what is most important, IMO, will media bias prevent the citizenry from being informed? Will the print press, MSM and cable news shows hold the new administration's and new Congress's feet to the fire?

That is what "a true supporter of our Constitution" needs to be concerned about.

So Baba, I am not allowed to criticize or comment on Obama? You just said if I don't agree with Obama, I am anti-constitution. What you are accusing me of is the same kind of BS the libs accused the repubs of leveling at dems. What's the next step, you are going to demand I get arrested because I don't agree with you or Obama?

If you believe this "mess" we are in is the sole responsibility of Bush or the republicans, then you are sadly lacking in critical thinking skills. This problem can squarely be blamed on Bush, the Republicans, Pelosi, Frank, Reid, the Democrats, and EVERYONE who borrowed on any loan (home, personal credit, school, etc.) and didn't repay it.

I do not believe that:

- eliminating the secret ballot for unionizing will "help our economy and our standing as a world power". How will it help the economy by allowing unions the opportunity to have one of their thugs stand right next to the voter and have them make their vote as the thug is standing next to him/her. Why do liberals want to eliminate the secret ballot?

- closing Gitmo will "help our economy and our standing as a world power". BHO has already started to backtrack on this. After the inauguration, it will be quite sad to see his admin issue a release that says they are going to close Gitmo as soon as they figure out what to do about the prisoners. BTW - don't you think it's comical that all these countries who attack us over gitmo also don't offer to take even ONE of the prisoners? Also, BHO has had two years to figure out what to do about Gitmo.

- I do not believe that raising taxes on the rich will "help our economy and our standing as a world power". Nice to punish people for achievement. Now Obama is backtracking on that, going to delay it. If it's so good for our country as he has said, why not do it day one?

- I do not believe that appointing liberal judges will "help our economy and our standing as a world power".

I will support our new president when I believe he is moving in the right direction, and I will be critical when I believe he is not. That's the American Way.

So now that I have expressed my opinion, is it the lib feeling that I am anti-american or anti-constitution? Is it the liberal plan to arrest anyone for saying what I just did? Your post sure makes me think so Baba.

Ashley,
I never said you were against the constution, I said that if you want Obama to fail then you do not support the constitution.
While you make good points Ashley, I believe that you are unltra conservative and if Obama said an apple was red you would disagree and say it was orange. But you do make some good points, Time will tell

I want Obama to break many of his campaign promises, therefore, according to you, I am not a true American.

Sorry for the off-topic J$, but I can't ignore being told I am not a true American.

I have always tried to support our President, that Is what we all should do, even when Bush was taking us down the wrong path. While I am a liberal, I never wished our president to fail.
As true American's, Ashley we need to give Obama the benefit of the doubt don't we and not start saying his is breaking campaign promises, as President elect he has gotten a more up close look at how the economy is working.
My comment about being Un American was only meant to mean that we need to support him even if we disagree with him. Sorry If I offended you.

Actually, Baba, the fact that Obama has had to change some of his expressed plans and promises, because a closer look showed them to uninformed, is significant.

You can't expect the people who knew they were ill-informed and who stated that at the time, not point out that he's had to revisit some promises now.

I don't think THAT is tantamount to calling Obama a liar or to suggesting that he doesn't have the stuff to succeed and hoping and praying that he does succeed.
