Re: "CNBC: Cramer's Nattering BS Continues"

It seems that NBC NEWS has decided that it is important to try to defend the family from the critiques. It is their editorial choice, but it is starting to seem like their thin skin will not thicken if they choose to cry foul every time their talking heads are lambasted.

I usually agree with Joe Scarborough, but his indignation towards Stewart was heading into whining territory.

NBC NEWS is reaping what it has sown. Respected professionals executing unbiased and quality jornalism? Rarely. A soap-operaesque community of narcissistic and insecure personalities who cannot take what they dish out. Bingo.

I know painting with broad brushes is dangerous, but with unbalanced MSNBC as their main example, NBC NEWS tolerates the stupid and deserves the scorn.

At least we have FNC as a serious source of news.

"is Glenn Beck the most serious?"

Compared to "diploma boy", Keith Olbermann......compared to "pimped out" David Shuster.......compared to "pfft, I have nothing to say because I have not received my DNC talking points yet, " Ms. Maddow......compared to the whiner and cry baby Jim Cramer.....compared to "Twitter" leg spiddle talker Mr. Matthews........

....by leaps and bounds.

PLUS, Beck's not a whiner. Colbert hits him, Beck takes it in stride and laughs at himself.

Taking oneself too seriously, like the self important MSNBC twits do, results in not being taken seriously by others.

I'm not sure we can say "Beck tops Hannity". Hannity had some sort of special on. I didn't watch it; maybe someone can describe it.

Speaking of ratings, is Olberman on vacation? The MSNBC numbers for that time slot are way down.

No Hannity had his regular nightly show. And yes, Olby was off yesterday, replaced by Shuster.

As coherent as Renaissance Project Director, Jewel Woods' piece on Joe Scarborough is...(not...), I must tell him that I'm very fond of men who are "stuck in the traditional roles of masculinity" that Jewell thinks put them "at risk".

Great fun over at the pound tonight as this character "claudo" piles up one lie on top of another to go after me. I have my own dedicated, sticky thread there you know, courtesy of Ellen QB.

So why does he have all those laudatory comments from Fox News personalities?

That seems to really bug him!

Back in the days before videos were not readily available (Dollar was on Quick Time) Dollar had lots and lots of video material from Fox. Is that because he was just high tech or did he have his DVR (before they were popular) on Fox 24&7?

This is an impenetrable mystery. I think we need Lt Columbo, or maybe the CSI team, to get to the bottom of this.

He's a piece of work. Despite all the documented instances of Fox lies, he won't address them.

Is he kidding? This site regularly documents and exposes the Fox lies from the newshounds.

Rather, he collects comments from our blog to show what a bunch of nasty, bad people we are.

It is rather like shooting fish in a barrel.

But what I found interesting was that he wouldn't appear, in person, on the Breitbart video about the blue scrotum thing

Yep, that's another Unsolved Mystery.

yet he frequently uses an old photo of News Hounds Ellen. And he banned Pegleg Peggy...

A Claudo lie. Pegleg Peggy wasn't banned. I made it quite clear at the time that she was having a stay on Exile Island. It was only for the weekend. How else could she have posted here just a few days ago?

for referring to Steve Doocy as Doochy...

Another Claudo lie. She was exiled for calling me a liar. Her attempt to call Steve Doocy a juvenile name was Edited by Siteowner, she got all huffy, denied she broke any language rules, and called me a "barefaced liar". Because she refused to apologize or take it back, she got a weekend stay on Exile Island, courtesy of Travelocity.

(he won't allow "personal" insults - yet he allowed his Olbermann obsessed (aren't they all over at Johnny's place?) sycophant, Olby Sucks, to post something really vulgar (one of countless insulting comments) about Olbermann sniffing jock straps.)

Because the rules permit it. Of course, if Olbermann ever starts posting here, we won't permit him to be insulted. We disapprove of personal attacks on other commenters.

And earlier you mentioned that if one approaches Dollar in a non confrontational manner, he will be reasonable. Why, then, does he edit or not post "reasonable" comments from many who have attempted to post such comments on his blog.

Another Claudo lie. We get such posts routinely, from Schnizzle, Haggis (well, semi-reasonable), VermontDave, and many others. I don't remember Claudo ever trying to post a 'reasonable' comment (or any other kind) here, but I could be wrong.

So there's an update with a trio of Claudo lies, which are very similar to hound lies. Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion.

Johnny,

I've always wondered why you and others here fail to take seriously the slanders and insults from the moral colossi over at News Hounds.

After all, insults that we are by turns partisan, homosexual, slutty, underhanded, lying, and low class, by these enlightened progressive champions of minorities, women, and the poor, merely show that they care...

Mornin' Joe Bully Pulpit??? Not so much.

Scarborough writes a Loyal Opposition column at HuffPo commenting "on the continued unbridled hatred that always seems to fly from the keyboards of many Huffington Post readers who comment on (his) articles."

So what does the Jewel of the Vile write about? Scarborough's "more basic problem," of engaging in " bullying behavior."

Scarborough invokes Obama's often stated "new style of politics" while Jewel writes that Joe, "ignored President Obama's *new style of masculinity*" (*encapsuled with quotation marks), even though Obama has never uttered those words.

It's not too hard to ignore something someone never said.

Woods says he believes Joe "is stuck in traditional modes of masculine behavior that put him at risk," and that when he "truly embraces a "new style of politic", based in part on a "new style of masculinity", not only will he, his guests, and the co-hosts on his show be better off, but that Democrats will be, as well."

Nice to know that Jewel is looking out for Joe's, Mika's, the MJ gang's and the Democrats' welfare, protecting all from Joe's "abuse of power. But what about the poor Republicans' welfare?

I suggest that Jewel make up for this oversight by holding the door open for every Republican he can as a tribute to Obama's clarion call for the "new style of politics", based in part on a "new style of masculinity."

Just don't try and hug them.

Beck is replacing Hannity as the anti-intellectual conservative at FNC. It seems to be happening very quickly. There is gap at FNC, the intellectual conservative. Guest commentators fill in at times, but there is no regular programming.

Newt has much to offer on a political show. He is well-informed. However, he functions best on a highly analytical level. I like that. When he gets antecdotal, I get turned off. His personal life is so deplorable, and his political career ended in such a disastrous disgrace that I don't think he has much to offer experientially. I guess I have to wonder if the typical FNC viewer is ready to accept sophisticated political analysis. They tend toward the guts and sweat.

As far the intellectual liberals, you've gone a bridge too far.

I can't get a handle on Scarborough. He was moving towards the middle of the political spectrum. He stopped. I suppose he got shot down by moderates who don't view him as particularly bright. He's pulled back to the right, abruptly and almost violently, either as a result of his slap down or because he has new political aspirations and needs to fee the right the raw and gamey meat it requires, or both. I don't think this was a principled move, as I have never seen him have any principles.

What people are saying that BOR is the cause?

BOR does not want GE to fail, he wants the shareholders to dump its CEO so that the company gets new and improved leadership so that it can succeed again. BOR has been very clear on his frustration over Immelt and his passion for GE to return to excellence, if you actually watched "The Factor" you would know that.

Newt, would be something I could stomach from the right. The guy is sane, rational, and very intelligent. I disagree with him, on quite alot, but I don't feel like I'm watching a total idiot when he speaks. When I watch Hannity, O'Reilly, or Beck, on the other hand, I see three guys who should be wearing wigs, floppy shoes, and red noses.

"I'm glad you recognize that there are plenty of intellectual liberals on FNC, otherwise you wouldn't have singled out conservatives in your comment."

I wonder who they are? I've tried to get people to list which of the hosts on fox they think are liberal. I got three from Grammie, and one from Johnny, that overlaps, with grammies (Greta).

So if it recognized, no one wants to talk about it. I think they fear falling into a cunningly laid liberal trap.

"Intellectual leftist.....an oxymoron."

This from from the side of the spectrum, that routinely rails about the "intellectual elite." And prefers to get their economic analysis from a plummer.
