Wow, Joe drew a whole 200 people? In the South? Remind me again of those lines wrapped around blocks waiting hours when Mark levin signed his book. In the freezing cold dead of winter in a liberal town. But Hillary Clinton is Joe's kindred spirit. Or something. I want to like Joe, but I just can't.

As usual, there are few very imaginative or well argued rebuttals in the comments section of that dos diary....
The usual accusations of "It's a Repub troll!" appear. Oh well, we'll have to keep an eye out for Olbermann himself commenting.
I heard Olbermann spent three segments on Sanford. Wow....I would have predicted 2, even considering it was a pretty slow political news day.
Comparisons of Olbermann's coverage of the Spitzer and Edwards epic falls, (both of which which had just as much juicy former alpha-male self-rightousness, hypocrisy, hubris and political implications), is justified. I'll try to see if I can look into it later today for OW.....
(D)'s and (R)'s are usually treated differently by the objective and compassionate Olbermann. Especially when it comes to personal behavior, Olbermann's level of shrillness and snarkiness, or the predictions of severe negative political impact.
Pronouncements from the glass towers of midtown Manhattan should always be taken with lots of kosher salt.

Not a cable news topic specifically, but I thought the following line, from Allahpundit over at HOTAIR.com, would be appreciated by some here as a good morning chuckle:
"Exit question: So we're all agreed that 'hiking the Appalachian trail' is now officially sexual slang, yes?"

I wish conservatives would show more interest in what Joe Scarborough has to say, I take issue with most it, but it's food for thought.
I certainly wish my fellow Bible-belt citizens would have more interest in him in the sense of his being the last non-lefty opinionator on MSNBC.
and I just love Mika!

I read this morning that Scarborough referred to Olbermann and Maddow as Jim and Tammy Faye Baker. He didn't mention their names but you knew who he was talking about.
Scarborough was saying that "some on this network" were gleeful about the Sandford incedent.
WOW!! They are fighting among themselves over at MESSNBC.

Give credit where credit it due-- the Daily Kos diarist certainly summed up Olbermann's behavior, if in the typical Daily Kos diarist sort of way.
I'd wager that there are a good many progressives who had the same response to Mr. Olbermann's party last night.
Many of them are likely to be in media, and who are (for once) TRULY repulsed at his conduct rather than enjoying KO as being a very convenient henchman.

A link I got from a poster on OW.
It's from Jack Dublin, a diarist at Kos who has expressed himself poignantly and well.

Based on the apparent MSNBC standards for hiring on-air talent, it wouldn't surprise me if Rattigan was hired because he submitted that tape as his audition for the network. Sounds lie Rat is going to fit-in at MSNBC quite nicely.

Excellent observation and analysis by Jim Treacher. It doesn't surprise me that MSNBC would turn over a big news story to Olbermann..."News Anchor".

"The Factor" was pre-empted, yet BillOReilly.com still posted the Post-Game Show for premium members.

Bill taped the show early in the afternoon and then flew to Switzerland for a vacation. He said in the Post-Game Show (henceforth, O'RFPGS) that he'll be back in the U.S. in the middle of next week. So, he'll be celebrating the birthday of our nation in our nation.
Also, there will be surprise guest hosts while he's away. I predict Glenn Beck, Judge Andrew Napolitano, and Juan Williams will be among the hosts.

He made music that some people in a prior generation liked, then proceeded to turn into a white plastic freak with alleged pedo tendencies. OJ got off too. I feel nothing.

I think the coverage all around was way overboard so what else is new?
I suspect many of you don't remember him as a child star. He had close to the same appeal that Shirley Temple had. As a young boy he was so charismatic and just a dynamite performer and singer.
I feel sad for the charming young boy and early outstanding career that turned so freakily bizarre and I believe included pedophilia.
