Looks like littlejohnt needs an education about lotteries.
Maybe you should do some research on the Georgia State Lottery and educate yourself before calling someone else stupid. For every dollar a person spends on lottery tickets in Georgia 1/3rd of it goes to the education fund. So therefore the people of Georgia is paying for those college tuitions and the lottery is RUN by the government. GOT IT, IDIOT? Or do you need pictures?

Of course they are operated by the government. Anyone other than an uneducated union worker knows that. What he fails to tell us is that it is all voluntary money. No one forces you to buy those tickets. Unlike income taxes, where your are forced to pay.

Actually, John T is quite wrong (shocker huh?) about the Georgia lottery. It is not "RUN by the government" as he says. It's run as a private business, funded entirely by its sales and not the taxpayer.
The State government provides oversight in the form of an appointed board, but it does not run the organization.

I think I know why that suddenly came up. Ellen read my latest FHRiR (my source tells me this is true). In that article there was a reference to Shep's comment, only the article I linked to was on Mediaite, which credited J$P for the video. So Ellen looked around for a blue blog she could link to and found HuffPo. Unfortunately, HuffPo's video (from the suspended 1news account) won't play. So rather than link to Mediaite which has a working video that's credited to J$P, she linked to HuffPo which has no video at all. Quite a bit of trouble there--she deprives her readers of seeing the video rather than letting them see the video along with a credit to J$.
And of course there is zero mention of the additional comments Shep just made about this incident. Too Much Information for the tail-waggers.

I'm still trying to figure out what Dogwasher Brian is trying to say. He has posted several items about the economy but it is obvious he wasn't paying attention in Econ 101 class.
He was saying today that the "Cash for Clunkers" program was a success. He forgot to mention that it cost more overall to run the program with all of the built in mandates and paper work involved.

I thought the Dobbs interview was kind of short. I figured he'd get two segments. I was a little disappointed too with the segment with the Judge. Too short, and the Judge didn't get to make a lot of points.
