If CNN wants to be "centrist" they need to rethink Rick Sanchez as an anchorman.

Sanchez may not be the most disingenuous of the lefty hosts (Olbermann and Shuster have that distinction), but he's certainly the stupidest.

I love the muggles link! Especially Cooper's reference. The resemblances are uncanny to the characters' appearances and to a slight extent the personalities as well.

The News Hound Clowns just couldn't wait to blame the right wing for the death of the census worker.

Turns out it was a suicide. They still believe it had soemthing to do with the right wing.

Similar to the Tiller murder, they dog washers insist it was the right wings fault.

Does anyone wonder why these people have no logical thought process.

Harris Faulkner just reported that Tiger Woods was involved in a single car accident last night and is in the hospital in serious condition.

I hope all goes well for him. I love him both for his talent and his public persona.

Update: The Orlando Sheriff''s Dept just announced that charges are pending against Tiger.

I'm very sorry to hear that.

grammie: I like tiger too, but charges pending can be something as simple as a careless driving ticket. Lets just hope for the best.

Jess Ventura claims MSNBC bought his silence because he was against the Iraq war

That's an interesting piece, but a bit of a mystery imho. There's a similar theory about them cancelling Donahue for the same reason, though even Olbermann insists that politics had nothing to do with it in that case. Still, being a company shill, Olby's opinion may not be particularly reliable, at least until he leaves their employ.

I just find it odd that MS would hire Ventura, whose views were well known, and then silence him because of the views that they hired him for. Something doesn't add up there. Still it's an interesting story and I'll link it despite my misgivings.

Ventura's claim makes sense in that MSNBC had just jettisoned the odious Michael Savage's weekend show.

They may have been hesitant at that time (public opinion against the war was not large in 03) to put another anti-war host on the air.

Then even their conservative, Joe Scarborough of Scarborough's America, was a war critic.

I agree that its a interesting piece and I would not put it past MSNBC especially in 2003.

Another example of liberal logic from the Hideous House of Hens.

Off topic but I have to say this:

I just saw Faux & Friends this morning and they managed to turn a personal feud between a cop and a "slacker/Hippie" into a right wing talking point.

The cop stopped the "slacker/hippie" for minor traffic violations. After the car was stopped the cop rammed the car with his patrol car and went over and maced the "slacker/hippie". The "slacker/hippie" took out a gun and killed the cop. A "good samaritan" who later claimed to have killed 44 people prior to this incident killed the "slacker/hippie". The "slacker/hippie" didn't even look like a hippie.

Faux & Friends made the cop out to be the victim even though the video of the event shows that the cop was clearly the aggressor. I used the words "slacker/hippie" because the Faux commentator, I forgot her name, she was the blonde, called the driver that.

It was infuriating to see a supposedly fair and balanced news channel take sides so wrongly in a story that should have been showed 180 degrees differently from the way it was done.

So let me get this straight. The cop rams the guy's car. The guy shoots and kills the cop. Poor didi says the cop was not the victim.

Ramming a car and no one is injured or dies is a bad thing..

Shooting a cop dead is a good thing.

Liberal logic never fails to amaze.

Yeah, in '03, with Abrams, Matthews, Scarborough, and Olbermann, beating the drums against the Bush Administration's foreign policy, libertarian Ventura's weekend show (after Savage was dumped from weekends) might have been considered by MSNBC to be a bone to the opposition.

I think it's plausible that they did tell Ventura to keep quiet about his war views, and then later they realized finally that in Jesse they might have another Savage (only in the since that Jesse is no diplomat) and they couldn't afford another foot-in-mouth fiasco, and so decided to quietly put him on the sidelines permanently.

The weekend doc-blocks got more ratings anyway, I'm sure.
