I like how Mark Halperin says the prize was "premature" at best just one day after he gave Obama an A- ....

I really think Halperin has no room to criticize the very liberal Norwegians and Swedes grading style, especially after he said Obama is, "[i]nstantly comfortable and highly skilled at the hardest job in the world."

It's only been 9 months!

So while the newshounds are smearing fox news about their reaction, over at MSNBC, the morning Joe crew had this to say:

Obama Nobel Prize A Disaster, "No Upside," "The Damage Is Done" Says Morning Joe Crew

Also it should be noted BOTH SIDES are critical about Obama winning the prize.

FNC is reporting that The Census Bureau had faulty backgrounds checks and several thousand criminals (one with a manslaughter conviction) have been hired as door to door canvasser.

Not a cabler, but Matt Laueron TODAY was pretty critical of the choice of Obama asking David Gregory, "Didn't Obama win because he's not George Bush?"

FNC was not the only place one could find the punditry and journos questioning, bordering on insulting, the selection.....

Even NYT, WaPO were diminishing the accomplishment noting previous Presidents had won the prize in their second terms after, "significant achievements."

The hounds have a tin ear.

On today's "Morning Joe", I would imagine they talked about the missile hitting the south pole of the moon. Did Scarborough mention that it reminded him of the hoax he fell for once, where he proclaimed that Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to blow up the moon? Then, when caught, he waited 10 days to apologize for his mistake?

Enjoyed the "Special Correction" link.

My favorite line is "Mr. Olbermann’s assertions on COLI are beyond factually incorrect; they are distorted characterizations. " Translation, Keith Olbermann lied.

I was listening to this story this morning on KFI 640 AM, the Bill Handel show. HAndel and a number of his radio team all voted for Obama, have been supportive of Obama, but even they found this Nobel Prize thing to be crazy. Rich Marotta, sports guy, big time W hater/Obama lover said that BHO getting the prize was ridiculous.

The clips I did see from FNC later were quite cordial to Obama. The hounds are way off base on this.

Even CBS NEWS went so far as linking this to Bush's MISSION ACCOMPLISHED photo-op....

"Well, today’s announcement - while totally out of the president’s control - finally may have handed his critics their own 'Mission Accomplished' moment."

Imagine if F&F or Cavuto said this could be like MISSION ACCOMPLISHED?....The hounds would howl!

The hounds need to do some more research before they put bad ol' FNC in the corner all by themselves.

I don't agree with the Mission Accomplished analogy. The CBS people are off-track on this.

After a week of talk about the SNL sketch about Obama accomplishing nothing, this nobel prize award for nothing is just "same old same old".

non cable news topic but interesting: Limbaugh did a interview with NBCs "TODAY" show.it will air next Monday and Tuesday. I'm kinda surprise that Limbaugh would grant a interview with NBC News especially given how MSNBC covers him
