I think someone here suggested at one point that Chris Wallace would have made the best replacement for Tim Russert.
After reading here several interviews by and with Wallace, I've come to agree.
I don't think there's a journalist out there who is more aware of the philosophies and the arguments from both sides and more apt to ask questions from both perspectives.

Cecelia,
Your point is well taken.
I have never forgiven FNC for pushing the brilliant Tony Snow out and putting Chris Wallace in on Fox News Sunday.
They hoped for a ratings boost. But it didn't happen.
Now that I consider it, Chris would be great on Meet The Press. Much better than David Gregory.

Chris Matthews has just been too cute by far over this senate run thing.
It's just another increase in his nausea quotient. That quotient came about out of his obviously intensely personal psychological evolution around the Obama campaign.
Now the added impetus to fawn and curry favor with the new Administration and with other Democrats, due to Matthews' own political ambitions, has sent the nausea quotient into the stratosphere.
Too cute, Chris. Why don't you be the straight shooter that you say you are and affirm or completely shoot down these rumors once and for all.
I'm grateful to the brilliant bloggers at The Cable Game and Chickaboomer for holding this self-referential clown's feet to the fire.
I'm also sad because I've always admired Matthews' intelligence, level of experience and sheer love of politics-the process and the tradition.
At one time, he was a political junkie of the best sort, unlike the sham version-- Keith Olbermann, who has little understanding or appreciation of any of those aspects.
On a more upbeat note--- speaking of too cute-- this is just precious: http://www.puppystalker.com/live.html

Just now on "The Radio Factor," BOR recommended E.D. Hill's new book--"I'm Not Your Friend, I'm Your Parent"--among recommendations for books to buy for Christmas. He referred to her as "our pal." It's too bad she'll be non-existent on after her contract expires. :o(

Johnny, I admire Greta a bunch for taking up for people who she feels are being treated unfairly. However, it's not sexist to criticize someone who happens to be a woman (Even if it's about the way they dress. Female anchors often do dress like they're catching a Vegas act after work.)
Like Olbermann, Zurawik doesn't seem particularly sexist to me. He just seems like an equal-opportunity jerk.

Well, Hannity has always been concerned about the environment, he even drives the same type of vehicles that Algore drives!!!
But, don't you think it gets harder and harder to believe in Global Warming when the temperatures haven't increased since 1998, James Hansen from NASA has had to retract his stats which said otherwise, last month he was caught repeating the September numbers to falsely proclaim the "hottest" October in years. And of course, we learn the artic ice is growing, despite the film footage that Algore used in his flick to show glaciers breaking apart (it was CGI but was represented as actual footage) Even Algore and his minions have stopped calling it "global warming" and now call it "climate change". Perhaps they believe that before the combustion engine was invented, the earths climate never changed?
President George W. Bush has obviously saved us!

Some of the conversation here reminds me of an incident regarding the Fox Network show 24 a year or so back.
I fondly recall the false outrage from the left about the show 24 having a nuke going off in Los Angeles. They were outraged because they felt that it was trying to scare the public, trying to sway people to have the "Bush" viewpoint.
So outraged about Fox having a show with one city being hit with a nuke, yet they were silent, deafeningly silent (is deafeningly even a word??) when CBS aired Jericho that had several major cities hit with nukes.
Just looking for an excuse, any excuse, to bash Fox (which I understand may have excellent ratings in the fine state of Alabama).

Your analysis is, as the Great GWB would say, "fuzzy".
First, a vast majority of Americans never even heard about this, to say it "outraged the American public" is ridiculous.
Second, she gave several interpretations of the gesture that had been given by others. The "terrorist fist jab" came from TIME. Of course, the fox haters on the left ignore that Time described it as that first.

But you have yet to tell us what Hill said the fist jab really means. You've told us a handful of descriptions she gave of it, but not what SHE said it means.
So right now, you are not looking like a truth teller. How about clearing it all up for us? Give us the rest of the Hill quote, where she says what it really means, and then you can tell us how it equates the Obamas with terrorists.

Again, more fuzzy analysis from AD. This vid is just like so many others where Bill has a guest talk about hate web sites. For a long time before this example, he had Mary Katherine Hamm on to give the same kind of info.
No where in that vid does it show Bill learning for the first time that there are right wing hate sites. Simply more smoke and mirrors from AD.
By the way, why would someone from Wales refer to themselves as a "Dem". I can get the Alabama part if he/she is visiting Alabama, but to add "dem"? In Great Britain, the term is liberal democrat or social democrat. Just asking.

And if he had actually called himself Wales Dem we would have thought he was PETA member with poor spelling skills.
(BTW Illinois Dem is really from Curacao. He had to use Illinois lest we think him a Blue Dog Dem ...)

The crap people say about Fox News is an unending source of fascination. Just tonight, a Fox hater site (not the hounds this time) noted that O'Reilly debated Megyn Kelly tonight. Wow! According to this site, debates are rare on O'Reilly, and even rarer on Fox News.
I mean, are people really gullible enough to believe such unadulterated drivel?!?

Yea, FNC does not debate, they only tell. Now MSNBC has debates all the time. It's the same debate topics over and over and over again:
Bush is evil vs. Bush is REALLY evil.
Republicans are dumb vs. Republicans are idiots.
FNC lies vs. FNC is propaganda.

>You are right Mike C. I think that Michelle Malkin did it before MKH.<
Before MKH, there was no Policing the 'Net. As for Monday's weekly debate segments, it had been Michelle and Kirsten Powers until Sept. '07 when Michelle decided to boycott "The Factor" over something Geraldo said (and apologized for). Then, Monica Crowley took her place, followed by Margaret Hoover. In February '08, the segment was scrapped and replaced by Juan Williams and Kinky Friedman. Kinky was replaced by MK and here we are.
