'We Look Like Shyster Lawyers!'

J$P Video! Geraldo and Kilmeade mix it up over Gitmo:

From Fox & Friends, June 6 2008

Mike C.
I ended up paying more attention to Steve and Gretchen playing comic relief than Geraldo and Brian debating passionately.

I mean providing comic relief. And it was necessary relief at that.

A clip of an argument on Gitmo, but can't address the morality, politics or impact on international relations.Hmmm....................

Didn't Geraldo's suit look nice.

Geraldo wants Moussaoui tried in an "open atmosphere" but would have shot the man himself if he had encountered him while reporting in the field??

Personally, I think focusing on the stripes made Gretchen look cross-eyed, or something did. Maybe she was looking at mascara clumps.

I also think the tie got lost. Geraldo should have probably gone with a bolder blue.

I find Gitmo morally offensive and a huge embarassment. I doubt it achieves any security purpose. If it does, there are other means that would be less objectionable and would not harm our standing in the world. Of course, this may be off topic.

The fine men and women at Gitmo, our fellow Americans, are doing a wonderful job in bringing justice to the individuals who committed 9-11. The guards, lawyers, professional men and women who are "Gitmo" are conducting themselves with respect and honor and I applaud their service.

Once again, Geraldo along with others forget that "Gitmo" is more than a place, it is a military installation composed of people who swore their allegience to The US Constitution. To sully their work without evidence of wrongdoing (and I have yet to see any evidence of human rights violations at Gitmo), is wrong. The issue of "Gitmo," like the issue of "the war," is just that to some...just an issue and not a recognition that fellow citizens are doing their duty honorably and under the supervision of the values of our country.

Oh how far some have gone to be so distrustful of their fellows....no benefit of the doubt, no patience....Just like the Haditha Marines, politics seems more important than seeking truth and justice.

Perhaps SNOBamessiah, our savior/guide/captain, will make this all right again.....http://tinyurl.com/5tmzl5

Who said a word about the people working at Gitmo. They are fine men and women who are doing a great job fufilling their oaths and their orders. The question is for the people giving the orders.

Very interesting. Don King just gave GWB credit for paving the way for obama. He was referring to Bush having the most diverse cabinet in history, to be clear. I wonder what the Bush haters think of that?

"The question is for the people giving the orders."

I include them as well, NVH....The entire group, including The President, took an oath to protect The US Constitution and I see no violation of that oath in spirit or deed.

And as I have argued ad nauseum other places (oh some will yawn/J$ may strike it all) the evidence and lack of action on the part of those in power to bring about charges against any who violate their oath (Congress impeaching Bush), tells me this is all politics and there is no substance to the allegations.

Geraldo is simply arguing "perception" and it is sad that this is all he, and the radical left, has.....The world THINKS this is wrong? OK, when are such important things like trials of terrorists, under the rule of someone's OPINION?....Show me facts that this process, place or the personnel are somehow immoral or doing immoral things and I'll listen....so far no objective and clear evidence has been presented and those (inlcuding the man I support to become POTUS, McCain) are simply worried over perception....This is ridiculous.

I promise, this is the last I will post about the clip.

OK,well my last post too (gotta weed the arugula).

If,in the face of world, and considerable American legal and Constitutional opinion,it is absolutely essential to imprison people outside of both the International and US legal juristictions, then why ,after being held for years as "the worst of the worst",have hundreds of people been quietly released without charges.

I had a flat tire today. I couldn't find a puncture. I wondered where all the hot air went.

Maybe with the Grambling band? A bunch of cheerleaders? Some Shriners in those little cars? I'm ready for that anytime!
