Re: Greta's wish....Senator Obama is avoiding side by side appearances with Senator McCain like the plague. It was very dishonest for Obama to agree only in principle with McCain's recommendation with preconvention town hall style debates then essentially stonewall. Obama displayed a similar lack of integrity regarding the public finance issue.
I hope Greta holds the meeting with McCain. It shows he is a man of his word and open to venues that are not staged.

The ironic thing about the Greta story is that after she does the show with Senator McClain, we can expect the following: A large number of Fox Haters will complain that Fox is evidently in the tank for McCain
What would be the evidence? The show features only McCain, and Obama is not given the opportunity of to respond.
Maybe the show will be a part of someone's guest list proof that Fox is biased.

I think I have been banned from commenting at Fox News blogs. First, I linked to my blog in a comment to a post to Alisyn Camerota's Greenroom blog. The blog post was made by Alisyn's summer intern, Audra. Audra voiced commercials for a motorcycle dealership in Arkansas and another in Oklahoma. Apparently, I was giving this poor intern too much publicity, my comment was removed, and moderation finally turned back on. (It had been off for a few weeks and comments appeared immediately.)
Then, I went to an open thread on GretaWire to vent. And after I submitted a few comments, any new comments I tried to submit would not appear.
Therefore, I can only reach the conclusion that I have been banned from commenting at any Fox News blog. It's probably a blessing in disguise. The same can be said for Audra's internship ending next week and Alisyn moving back to the weekends. A higher power is telling me I need to focuse my energy elsewhere. But I hope this doesn't prevent me from getting hired at FNC. "Mike Chimeri, huh? ... Oh, you're that guy that harrassed Alisyn Camerota's poor intern and then Greta Van Susteren. I think we're done here. We'll be in touch."
I hope that wasn't off topic.

And now a friend of Tony Snow's comes out and states that Keithy was NOT in fact on a friendly basis with Tony Snow. That story was suspect from the get-go. Did any of us actually believe Keith's statement, that they were friends personally, just not politically? I think not.

No, Vince, I didn't do that. What I basically said was I posted video of the two commercials Audra appeared in my blog. Then, I complained on GretaWire when my comment at Greenroom was removed. "Banned" may not be the right word. They just don't trust me anymore. They basically thought I was promoting myself too much and promoting an intern for their company as a motorcycle dealer commercial queen. Again, I'm probably overreacting and assuming the worst. I'm hypersensitive emotionally.

Well if that's the case, then we can cross that show off the list of biased Fox News broadcasts, because all they do is entertainment, not news. The interviews with Hillary and Obama don't count, the debates, all of that stuff, just gets tossed into the 'entertainment' bin and therefore there should be no more comments about bias on F&F because, apparently, it's not even news. Thus spake Haggis.
I assume you will now comment no further about F&F, because it is not cable news, per your own statement. I'll take that deal.

Haggis, have you actually watched the morning shows? Granted, I can't catch them often because I'm out of the house at 7:15 every morning but from what I've watched, they discuss news with (admittedly oftentimes lame) humor. I don't think they're really going for my demographic, so I'll give them a pass. However, they do discuss the news much more than every half hour on the breaks.

Do you ever go to the FNC web site and listen to clips from their shows? I mean since you said you can't listen to them in the daytime.
I was just there. I thought Huckabee had a really good presentation. He had some good insights into who the candidates would pick for VP. Since he has just finished second in the Republican nomination race, his words had an extra credibility. I think that Huck is going to be a good asset to Fox News. I think he will help the FF program as I suspect that he will be a frequent guest there.

Truthfully, I did not watch either tonight since I have no cable or satellite. But I think it is weird that you say nothing can be learned from H&C. Ellen is always praising Colmes (who is one-half) of H&C, telling us what brilliant insights he has.
According to Ellen, Colmes is quite brilliant while Hannity is nothing more than a buffoon. If that were the case (what ellen says) then I would say that the show favors the Democrate much too much. Fox needs to replace Hannity with a sharp articulate spokesman for the Repubican or conservative side to make it balanced.

If it weren't morning I'd wonder if there were a full moon out. Olbermann compared people to Nazis. Olbermann is German. He is sometimes called "Herr" Olbermann. Do you know what "Herr" means in German? Here's a clue: it doesn't mean "Nazi". If that bothers you, explain why. If you can't, well nothing's forcing you to participate at a site run by someone who refers to someone as "Herr".

I really admire your patience with people from NH who come over here and try to be disruptive. Of course, NH moderators won't let us go over there and post without telling us to leave.
It would be one thing if posters from NH would make thoughtful, intelligent arguments. However, just like they rarely say anything thoughtful at NH; they all-too-rarely say anything thoughtful here.
For example, does FL really think that Alan's posting of his hate mail is designed to make Alan look bad? Get real! Alan only posts mail that he thinks will make people who disagree with him look silly. And he doesn't just post the hate mail. He also posts his witty replies that shows his critics up for the fools they are.
Hannity does something of the same thing on the radio. He has a hate hannity hotline wherein he plays silly comments from his detractors. Again, if you actually think that he does this to make himself look bad . . . then you really need to take the red pill. You need to get in touch with realityl
When Johnny only posts a linkage to Alan's hate mail (something designed to make Alan look good) and he does not post a linkage to Hannity's hate mail (something designed to make Hannity look good). . . you could more easily argue that Johnny is favoring Alan over Hannity.
NVH, I have never slurred you once, but if you had taken the red pill you would already know that. If anyone has been doing any slurring this morning, it has been you slurring Johnny.
