To respond to Johnny's claim that the Fox Forum isn't promoting the Republican Party: let's have a look at the latest roundup of articles, in order.

1.) "A Dangerous Game of Chicken: The President versus the Market". Anti-Obama.
2.) "Why Are your tax dollars paying for the White House's Limbaugh Strategy?" Anti-Obama.
3.) "No More Rope-A-Dope with Iran." Neutral policy wonking about Iran.
4.) "OBama's Budget is a Loaded Weapon aimed at you" Anti-Obama
5.) "Hey Congress: Time to Help the Healthy Homeowner" Neutral at best, criticizes Obama's focus on homjeowners facing forclosure.
6.) "Hillary Should Get on the Road to Damascus" Neutral Policy Wonking
7.) "Welcome ot the Pinocchio AdministratioN" Anti-Obama
8.) "Even the Party Faithful Can't Define Conservatism and That's why we're in big trouble" Pro-conservatism
9.) "OBama's Top Five Broken PRomises" Anti-Obama
10.) "Blaming Rush" Anti-Obama

At this point the next ten articles are all anti-Obama. There is not a single pro-Democratic article in there.

They list as follows.

1.) "How Can the Dead Old Party Become the Grand Old Party again?" Tammy Bruce, conservative.
2.) "Let's Come together and save our country's economy" Anti-Obama, written by Reagan appointee
3.) "For the Good of the GOP put the Limbaugh/Steele battle aside" Anti-Obama, pro GOP
4.) "What's wrong with giving tax cuts to everybody" Greg Gutfeld, anti-Obama
5.) "Obama's Scary HOover Style Tax Hikes" Anti-Obama
6.) "On the Loose: the elitist populist spreads destruction with mock outrage" Anti-Obama, furiously anti- John Kerry
7.) "John Kerry Attacks George Will Over Global Warming And Uses his Wife for backup" Anti-Democrat
8.) "A big step toward widespread euthanasia" Social conservative article
9.) "TIme for Republicans to get their ducks in a row" anti-obama, pro GOP
10.) "Blindsided by Obama the Radical" Anti-obama
11.) "Is George Soros a Global Warming Turncoat" anti-global warming, conservative article

So, quite in fact, Johnny. You were wrong. I challenged you to find a single pro-Democrat or pro-Obama article in the last 20-25 articles listed on Fox Forum.

In order to find one, you had to go ALL THE WAY BACK to February 28th, which is roughly 25 articles ago, to Judith Miller.

Is that it? I just listed roughly 20 articles which were conservative, GOP or anti-Obama. Authors included Glenn Beck, Tammy Bruce, Greg Gutfeld, Andrea Tarantos, etc...

You couldn't even find an article by Bob Beckel, Lanny Davis, Susan Estritch or any one else in that span of articles.

And all you've got is one article by Judith Miller praising the withdrawal?

That's it? No offense, but that's pretty lame.

Last night I met Bernard Goldberg. As many of you know, he is a regular guest on The Factor and Hannity. He appeared at the Richard Nixon Library to speak and to sign his latest book. During his speech, he mentioned an MSNBC attack on Sarah Palin that I had never heard of before. Perhaps someone out there may have a screen capture or some other info on it.

Apparently, at the time when John McCain was formally announcing Sarah Palin as his running mate, MSNBC in its wisdom put up the Chyron that said (I am paraphrasing here) "How many houses will she bring in to the McCain Campaign" as a slam against McCain for being unsure at the time of the number of houses he and his wife owned.

If this is true, it's just more evidence about how in the tank MSNBC is for democrats and how anti-republican it is.

By the way, when I met him afterwards, I shook his hand and said "It's an honor to meet you Mr. Goldberg". He responded to me by saying "Call me Bernie". Very personable guy.

So Johnny, but you lost the argument. Because no rational human being is willing to believe that 20 Republican articles versus 1 Democrat articles = fairness and balance.

"I could've gone back and found articles by Beckel or Hill or the rest, but it only took one to prove you wrong, and I have other things to do with my time."

Yeah, you could have. Problem is, you would have had to include all the Republican articles you ran across in your search. And once, the ratio would have held true.

For every Democrat or liberal who gets to post an article or a column on Fox Forum, there are at LEAST ten Republicans to shout him down.

You lose, Johnny.

Here's a clue. Fox is reporting about Obama. It's exactly what they are supposed to do.

Sorry, but I asked Johnny to come up with an article which was "pro-Obama" in the first 25 articles listed on Fox Forum.

He didn't. Judith Miller's article is outside those bounds. It's the 27th article.

Which means Johnny has technically lost the argument. He didn't bother checking where Judith Miller's article was. He simply kept clicking "older articles" tab at the bottom until he finally found one which wasn't dripping with venom for Obama.

Too bad Johnny. It was outside the boundary I laid out in my argument.

BTW, let us not forget Coulter also skewered Olbermann for his chosen major, communications.

I don't mean to insult anyone, but at my college, communications was one of the majors that was not at all challenging.

It is interesting that Olbermann avoided countering Coulter on that line of attack.

Also, Coulter made a very nice seperation of the SAT score differences and acceptance ratios between the two schools....again, Olbermann was silent.

Newt Gingridge appeared on F&F this morning....I personally thought Carlson was going to wet herself with excitement  She called him Newt...Then she said is it alright if I call you Newt...I feel I know you so well. Then at the end she asked Newters to say hi from her to his wife, Callista (or something like that). It's all very cosy isn't it?

I've also noticed that there seems to be an extreme lack of Democrats appearing these days. When and if they appear...I bet Carlson wont be saying hi to their wives.

What do you think being "fair and balanced" is but to air Limbaugh explanation of what he meant when he said he wanted Obama to fail?

Limbaugh meant the same thing a liberal meant when they wised failure for Bush's plan to "save" Social Security by privatizing it.

No one on the other networks were playing devil's advocate from Limbaugh's side (while airing the views of guests criticizing Limbaugh), BUT FNC.

Again, this harks back to real problem FNC critics have. They treat conservatives like they're no less important than liberals!

Long before Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with cancer, the media would drool all over him during an appearance. Same with Barney Frank. But Gretchen Carlson treats Gingrich like he's an esteemed guest and its just awful!

The problem isn't when conservatives are treated special, it's when they are treated the same!

Yes Haggis you used ""s around it, as you did in the following sentence. Are you now admitting that O'Reilly did NOT say she was asking for it? I just want this to be clear.

"don't you think a girl should be able to wear what she wants?"

Yes. And a girl should be able to hitchhike if she wants. And you can leave your car in front of your house with the keys in it and the engine running if you want. Should something bad result from any of those decisions, the wrongdoer is still the one responsible. Does that mean it's wrong to tell girls "don't hitchhike"? Or wrong to tell Haggis "stop leaving the engine running, someone's gonna steal your car"?

I'll bet I've had more experience with rape cases and assaults on women than everyone else on this thread combined. No brag, just fact. Perhaps when you experience first-hand what people have gone thru you have a better perspective on the importance of not making things easy for a predator, and the ugly results that can occur if you do.

I completely agree with you on the point - a girl should be able to wear what she wants. Absolutely, a girl should be able to wear what she wants without being attacked. Likewise, a child should be able to play in their front yard without being abducted. A child should be able to exist without being abducted. A man should be able to walk down the street without being mugged or beaten.

Johnny - I apologize to you. I was just catching up on some of the other posts, I noticed your response to Haggis that was very similar to the one I just submitted. I did not intend to copy you.

But FNC only defend the one side and you know what that side is without me telling you. When have they ever leaped to the defence of the left?

BOR defending John Kerry against the Swiftboaters comes to mind right away. Countless Countless others, if you actually watched FNC instead of letting NH do your thinking for you, you would know that.

"defence"
"FNC only defend the"

How likely is that considering you had been gone for months and reappeared as Alabama Dem a few days later?

Thank you Ashley I appreciate your post....it was a terrible time and she still hasn't got completely over it all these years latter.

I know what Bill was meaning....but the way he said it just came across as blame the victim....If he could say it again he probably would phrase it a lot differently.

I thought you were the one who coined the name and I remember it was during discussions on MSNBC and the houses. I'm surprised you didn't remember that when you heard Bernie talk about it!

I still laugh about Patrick when he admitted under some other name "I AM the dreaded Patrick!" More dredged than dreaded...

I have no idea how likely that is...I used AD 1st and when I realised I couldn't speak the Alabama lingo....I smartly regrouped under the Chippy alias....But I never used the name Spider.

Nice reporting Carl...You have confirmed my suspicions about Palin completely.
Fox are obviously taking sever heat from the Right Wingers over this excellent reporting...So Fox are now back peddling franticly....Things can't get any better than this...1st Obama gets elected...Then Fox falls out with the Right...I'm in heaven.

Haggis, as you may have noticed I very rarely engage and never in a comradely fashion. To tell the truth that is b/c you have lied and cheated here many times and when uncovered make little gosh, golly shuffling feet little boy noises and claim that you were just funning. For me, that makes you even more reprehensible.

So, how I feel about you is up front. I hope you will answer my questions honestly b/c this campaign to hang BOR through the Alexa Foundation is very serious business for them and the victims they help.

Have you ever heard or read a transcript of the show from which you quote?

If not how can you pile on this innocent charity w/o doing your due diligence to make your own judgment.

BTW, the infp is out there if you want it.

That was hilarious when he let that one fly. The l'il feller actually believes we're afraid of him and that night, he actually believed he was somehow defeating us in an argument.

When he said the "dreaded" line, it went over here as big as the "one MILLION dollars" line from Dr. Evil the Austin Powers movie.

Fine Haggis, but I repeat...is even saying that a woman should not be dressed provacatively and walk down the street in the middle of the night alone like that.....such an evil thing that KO and his goons should be attacking BOR and that organization over it?

Where did O'Reilly say she was "asking for it"? -JWhere did O'Reilly say she was "asking for it"? -J$ No less authority than Mr. Keith Olbermann of MSNBC, said tonight, "Bill O'Reilly now dragging a prominent victim's rights advocate down with him as the date for his 'blame the rape victim speech' looms." and later, the more damning "...O'Reilly, who once blamed a dead New Jersey rape victim for her own brutal end." Not even the deplorable LowBlo KO accuses O'Reilly of saying "she was asking for it."nbsp;

Is Olbermann that stupid? O'Reilly is dragging Wendy Murphy into this. Wendy Murphy was Alexa's lawyer. What's more, she's on the advisory board of the Alexa Foundation. She probably's the one who asked O'Reilly to speak!

No Olby isn't that stupid. He's just that twisted. He doesn't care if it's true or not.

and perhaps Haggy should be reminded that J$ saved his bacon too by not allowing a Haggis post, which perpetuated the Gibson false smear, to appear on J$P.

Earlier in this thread, Haggis believes that an apology is required from the Friends because they allegedly fell for a hoax and reported it. My 2/23 post reminds me that Haggis fell for the Gibson Hoax and he reported it. We didn't see it because J$ moderated the post. So, here we have Haggy caught having done exactly what he blames the Friends for. He insists on the Friends apologizing, but there was never an apology from him. Also, did he ever thank J$??????

I thought I had seen it somewhere. Since there is no attribution I suspect this came from Alex:

"It may be a case of "who you know". Sitting on the advisory board of the Foundation is one Wendy Murphy, who has frequently appeared on the Factor and appears to be somewhat of a buddy of O'Reilly's (O'Reilly wrote the foreword to Murphy's book And Justice for Some, and snide comments have been made about her "sleeping on a cot in his office"). Murphy is O'Reilly's partner-in-crime when it comes to blaming those eeevul liberals for the ills of the world, claiming, for instance, that the ACLU "don't want any laws on the books...that make it a crime for a child to be abused by an adult" and that the "liberal media" often neglect to cover criminal cases involving sexual predators because " classic liberal left ideology is anti-state, anti-prosecution. It's always bad to lock somebody up. Punishment is bad." (Following that there is a huge sucking noise as she tells Bildo, "And you really are the only one in the media stepping up to the plate." Ewwwww.) "

This is the next sentence in the same comment.

"Whatever the reason the IHTAF have decided to stand over their decision, it can only harm their public image and support if the comments on a petition by Concerned Citizens Against Sexual Violence asking the foundation to replace O'Reilly as guest speaker are anything to go by. A sample:"

I googled Concerned Citizens Against Sexual Violence. There are seven entries, the first for the kennel, and the rest devoted to hyping the petition from mostly MSBS/KO groups.

Those dogs sure do move fast. Why tthey created out of thin air a very impressive sounding non entity.

"There is utterly no purpose to these lame "gotchas," except that Olbermann is so desperately insecure that he is willing to waste valuable airtime in order to convince other status-conscious idiots that he is, like, scary-smart." - Ann Coulter

I posted on OW when this thing started that Wendy Murphy, Alexa's lawyer, had posted on the foundation site her relationship and positive opinion of victim advocate, Bill O'Reilly and that should help in refuttting Olbermann's vile attack. I am sure Ms. Murhpy's bio with the O'Reilly's reference has been there for months.

It looks like Olbermann is lying yet again....With no facts to show "O'Reilly is dragging Wendy Murphy" into the situation, Olbermann is once again sinking to new lows.

Anyone who supports Olbermann attacking a good organization, and good people like Ms. Murphy, is as pathetic as him!
