Are you sure Terry left on her own terms or was her contract just not renewed?

Any word on why they let Courtney Friel go?

What happens if NewsCorp and DirecTV are successful in buying NBC? Do they keep Keith Olbermann?

That's what I heard. I have no reason to think otherwise.

As for Courtney, I don't know her status so I'm not sure if she has been let go. Her bio is still up, but sometimes they're late in attending to that sort of stuff so if you know she has been let go let us know where you heard it from. I must admit, though, that it's odd when Bill O'Reilly started his "Did you see that?" segment, it was with Friel and Jane Skinner. But lately it's been Skinner solo.

They won't buy NBC since Fox owning NBC would get shot down by the regulators.

Re: WH enemies List

"So far, in the White House battle with Fox News, it is Fox that has won. Their widely reported ban on Fox has been reported everywhere, and it makes the White House look fearful, weak, and ready only to talk with those who are more likely to agree with their agenda. Is this the change America wanted when it elected Barack Obama as President?"

Well, it looks like Brian has it down pat. Instead of actually addressing the issues presented by Cavuto, he decides the reliable News Hound tactic of diversion.

So then by what MSNBC and Donnie Deutsch did/said, we can now refer to Donnie as Donnie Douche?

I've posted the video of Jon Stewart bashing CNN, good ol' Jon.

CNN fact checks "SNL" but not their guests.

Poor Donny. I suppose if you are on a cabler with declining ratings and you are forced to comment on someone with growing ratings (and huge wealth), even after being on the RADIO for over 20 years with the same basic format and approach, you will only be able to use adolescent insults exposing your rage in envy.

What is really funny is that the question was borne from the idea that Limbaugh MUST be threatened by the young star rising....He pulls it off well by laying claim to the success of others because he's been doing it for so long. (BTW, Mika's chortling about the use of the verb "spawn," was pretty silly. It was a perfectly approprtae use of the word in context.)

Like him or loathe him, one must admit Limbaugh has a rare ability to FORCE his opponents to react in ways that make them seem petty. Just for that spectacle, I appreciate his presence on the national stage.

Donny needs to chill.

I saw another, "keep it classy MSNBC" moment with Chris Mattews....

"You guys see Live and Let Die, the great Bond film with Yaphet Kotto as the bad guy, Mr. Big? In the end they jam a big CO2 pellet in his face and he blew up. I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch. I think he’s Mr. Big, I think Yaphet Kotto. Are you watching, Rush?"

First of all, LIVE AND LET DIE a "great" bond film....hardly.

Secondly.....Matthew's glee in wishing for Limbaugh's demise is pretty scary.

I wonder if they have to sign a "I hate Limbaugh" clause in their contracts over at MSNBC?

Wow it's a good thing that didn't happen in a Fox Nation comment thread, or Ellen would be calling the secret service to report a 'death threat'!

Besides, isn't Limbaugh a whole lot slimmer now? I know that MSNBC insists on using old footage where he is heavier, but the clip I saw from the Today Show interview he looks slimmer than, say, Olby does.

He's lost 80 lbs since the CPAC convention in February which is where Olbermann gets his ridiculously over-used clip (Limbaugh is at the podium jumping up and down like he has ants in his pants).

The opiate addiction is another over-used oldie-but-goodie for the left when it comes to Limbaugh, even though it seems he has kept his nose clean since the controversy and candidly remarked about it with Gangel on the TODAY interview.

Could Matthews be referring to Limbaugh's ego in regard to the "blowing up" metaphor?

A good joke does not need explaination.

It looks like a brouhaha may also be developing between Rush Limbaugh and CNN AND MSNBC. From News Busters:

"MRC's Bozell Demands CNN, MSNBC Source Racist Charges Against Limbaugh"

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb-staff/2009/10/13/mrcs-bozell-demands-cnn-msnbc-source-racist-charges-against-limbaugh

Rush has devoted quite a bit of airtime to this and seems to be taking some very serious steps to get the record set straight.

Some of the Limbaugh quotes I have heard pundits and reporters discuss on CNN I have never heard before, and I have been following Limbaugh's career for several years. He claims they are inaccurate and taken from unsubstatiated wikipedia entries.

Time will tell if retractions are necessary.

There's an excellent historical defense of press organizations like FNC from, of all places, THE NATION:

Two points I liked:

"If the Fox interviewers are absurdly unfair, the American people will respond with appropriate consternation. On the other hand, if they are aggressive and pointed in their challenges, Obama will rise or fall on the quality of his responses. His aides, if they have any faith in their man's abilities, should bend over backwards to accept some Fox interviews.

[...]

"And nothing -- no attack by Glenn Beck, no blogger busting about Guantanamo -- does more damage to Obama's credibility or authority than the sense that a popular president is becoming the whiner-in-chief."

double standard? Mediate fact checked Jon Stewart slamming CNN, have they fact checked skits when Stewart has bashed MSNBC or FNC?

Another point-why are people fact-checking COMEDY SHOWS?? First CNN with "SNL" and now this? Jeez......Maybe its a slow day over their at mediate

And what's more, the big hollywood article links to and quotes from Russell Simmons own post at HuffPo. So the mongrels are complaining NOT that Simmons made a stupid divisive statement. No they're complaining that Fox linked to what Simmons said. I mean, you can't get more specious--or more moronic--than that.

When I visited TN this weekend, I was with a couple of relatives whose kids got H1N1 and knew others who had had it from that state. They said that the worst case had a high temperature and headache for a couple of days. It's simply a distraction.
