Thanks for dropping by.
Anyway, I always thought the Drudge Report was like a conservative tabloid site. But I haven't been there. I was probably linked there one time on Hot Air (early last year when I was hooked on that site before the anti-BOR stuff began), but that's basically it.
Also, I think Matt Drudge looks like actor (on-camera/voiceover) Tom Kenny.
Regarding the topic after Drudge's influence, I certainly crave news here. And I fit Patricia Murphy's description in one area: When I have the internet up, I do have my instant messaging up; or at least, I have AOL up, but I'm not always IMing.

"I always thought the Drudge Report was like a conservative tabloid site. But I haven't been there."
Studies keep proving that Drudge's site links to more left leaning articles than right. If you've never been there and believe the smear machine, it's a far-right site though.

Drudge Report leaning left.....Looks like the 3 amigos on F&F will be looking for a knew homepage...Mind you isn't the show just normally a run-down of hotair's front page.

I don't know, haven't been able to see F&F for years since I'm at work at that time M-F. Same reason I never comment here during the weekdays 8-5, Haloscan is blocked.

Why is The Drudge Report so influential?
Maybe because most Americans don't know how to distinguish hard news from gossip and innuendo?

Apologies....I was not trying to be the word police....I just didn't want to see a valuable poster like VP banned...Because he hadn't read the rules recently.
"Vince, don't take moderation from Haggis."
That statement made my night...I can only imagine what your were thinking.

What? We're all supposed to be slitting our wrists over the thought of Rupert Murdoch championing Obama?
Who the hell cares?

Rupert owns Fox news...So if Rupert thinks Obama's a Rock star....It won't be long until FNC thinks the same.

Haggis, I understood what your were implying. What I don't understand is why you think (hope) that's going to make anyone want to jump off a bridge.

It would be funny even hysterical...Turn everything on its head....J$ would be bashing Fox and NH would be defending Fox.

I have no doubt the latter is true, but on what, other than some Kreskin-like ability to read minds, do you base the former?

My plan is as follows:
Rupert tell Fox to become pro Obama....Hannity/O'reilly/Cavuto all take holidays simultaneously.
This causes outrage amongst the Right...Malkin writes an article on how the "terrorists" have invaded Fox....Hay-Presto...Everything's now on its head.

Haggis, for someone who gets off by pissing in other people's cheerios, you've certainly got the weak dribbles.
I suppose that's the best you could do with what you've got.

Haggis, you're either going to have to get a better aim to compensate for what you've got, or get a new hobby.

I'll have you know that I once wrote my wifes name,6 block letters,in the snow.Dotted the i,then underlined it,but anyway.
Don't think that Rupert is going to pull the switch on Fox's conservative bent, even if he likes Obama.he's making money, and if Obama is elected,it will just continue to be the 24 hour "aren't democrats awful" channel. Why would he change a working formula?
Though he is in it for the money, and if he thought people would tune in for the 24 hour monkey squawk channel,we'd have it.

Because people flock to FNC for its fair and balanced coverage, you can bet they'd lose viewers dramatically if Murdoch instructed the staff to get in the tank with the admitted Obama fan channels, MSNBC, CNN, et al. FNC would lose its long-earned credibility for its unbiased quality, and that would be a bad business decision.
Murdoch is a pretty good businessman, therefore it's not going to happen.

I think you may very well be right. FNC establsihed itself, but it seems to be locked into a limited and not entirely desireable audience. The FNC of 4 years ago is going to be well to the right of the FNC in January.
