'A Mistake from the Start'

J$P Video! Fox News Sunday discusses the boycott:

From Fox News Sunday, May 4 2008

Good clip.

It seems to me that if you want to appeal to the leftist crowd in the party, indeed go on Fox News, go on O'Reilly and Hannity and hammer them back.

I think most folks are more impressed with people on their side of a fight - whatever that fight is - who go into the ring or arena and fight for their cause.

Not run away from it.

Olbermann and Abrams and other journalists are against this approach because of their own personal gripes with FNC or with their own concerns about ratings.

Well, Olbermann is against it because he's - well there's no other word - a flat out kook. Abrams is a different story.

Since when has it been a principle of civics in this country for politicans to deliberately go on missions to fight with journalists?

Since when?

This is a dangerous development.

I would not have thought that the Nutroots set out to bury Fox when they orchestrated the childish boycott and these guys were hi fiving each other that they were driving nails in Fox's coffin.

This last week they are moaning and groaning that their great start in Fox's destruction has been screwed up by those ungrateful candidates. These people truely believe their own press releases that they are the puppet masters behind the scences of the Dem Party.

Wasn't it George Soros who made a public comment that they had raised and spent hundreds of millions and the Dems better jump to b/c they were bought and paid for.

PS What does anyone make of the wierd voice on Gibson's radio show saying Oh yummy, Lesbians? I have no idea what it was meant to accomplish and I half way suspect it may have been doctored.

That was a clip from some show. I think it might have been The Simpsons. Interspersing sound bites from tv and movies is one of the most common bits of "shtick" in talk radio.

Well, by "fight" I simply mean go on FNC (or whatever news entity you think is unfair) and challenge them and make your case.

Don't be rude or confrontational or yell and scream. Just present your side of the issue.

Not all journalists are fair. Some are biased and unfair. Certainly, Hannity is unfair to liberals. Olbermann is unfair to Republicans (one, of course is a commentator and the other a supposed "news anchor").

In either case, the response is to go against them and point out where you are right and they are wrong.

No screaming, no yelling. Just make your case.

Don't run and hide from them.

J$, so I assume that Gibson or his producer arranged for it to play.

Not his producer, but the sound guy. I think his name is Joe, but I'm not sure. The producer (Angry Rich) lines up guests, etc. Christine is the call-screener. The sound guy drops the soundbites into the conversation.
