I love David Letterman for saying what most people are thinking these days!! The comments that he has made to Bill O'Reilly about Iraq, Cindy Sheehan and the "crap" he says were made with humor and intelligence but at the same time David Letterman seemed to be sincere. That is one reason why I will always be a loyal David Letterman fan!!!!

Amen!! O'Reilly is such a pompous a**. The whole thing about the lyrics to Silent Night being changed are completely taken out of context. Most of these Xmas stories he spouts about are not true or he misquotes or leaves something out. GO LETTERMAN!!!!

David doesn't watch but says Bill is crap...How intellectually dishonest is that...Let's review the film before we see it! David is sincere, I do think that. Bill is a windbag and is right on Sheehan. She is a sad NUT! But has a right to be crazy too! She is just going about but she does ina wrong way is is hurting the present day troops. She can be anti-war in a less insane way! The war is nuts but we are there and should get out in the right way ASAP! Bill thinks the same way.

im sorry, but letterman was an [expletive deleted] in this interview. he attacked oreliey right from the beggining to the end of this clip. Oreilly is a windbag, and dispite his claims hes clearly a very conservative individual, but for christ sake letterman, dont blast people bassed on heresay unless you can make a really strong arguement, which you did not.

As much as I love Letterman... I enjoy Oreilly as well, and Dave made a real ass out of himself. The smartest thing he said was "i am not smart enough to debate this with you." call bill anything, but he had information... he had facts. all dave had was immature drivel "60 percent of what you say is crap" - its gradeschool arguing. He actually had the balls to comment on the oreilly factor... and then admited he'd never seen it... thats rediculous... I dont see how anyone could defend him after something so lacking in integrity. as far as cindy sheehan... bill put it quite well - she has every right to say what she says... however... bill has every right not to want terrorists being called freedom fighters on his show. its just that simple - they both have their rights...

I have faithfully watched the Late Show for six years, but I lost respect for Letterman that night. After inviting Bill O'Reilly to be on the show and then did not give him the opportunity to say much of anything except to counter what David said. I remember when David ranted and raved about how long it was taking to go to war after 9/11/01, and now asks why are we there. I haven't watched his show since that night and will watch Jay Leno instead. I hope others feel the same. He displayed the little boy temperament that still exist within the manly body that he brags about.
