Fox & Friends had Rick Santorum on today to talk about how his campaign is going down in flames, and didn't allow any Democratic politicians onto the show! Fair and Balanced, always! October 19, 2006, 1:03:15 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Who were the Democrats who wanted to get on F&F and weren't "allowed" on? While you're pondering that, perhaps you can enlighten us on Santorum's opponent and if he wanted to appear and wasn't "allowed", or whether he declined the offer. Oh, and tomorrow, when F&F has Barack Obama on, what will be your claim then? October 19, 2006, 1:21:36 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom I'll wait and see how many Republicans they have on. Probably a good three or four. By the way, I like how you were unable to defend their exclusion of any Democrats from F&F this morning. Your excuse is that they didn't want to come on? If F&F brings on Republicans and 0 Democrats, all you can do is speculate that they didn't purposely exclude them or that Dems declined? B.S. Even some Republican politicians such as Curt Weldon have called out Fox hosts like Bill O'Reilly for lying through his teeth on the past when they claimed they offered an invitation and none was actually offered and then Fox claimed they simply declined. October 19, 2006, 1:58:06 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom By the way, you can go onto the Fox News website right now and click on their video box, it lists all of the various interviews they've done in the last week. In the "campaign 2006" and "politics" tabs it includes interviews, among other things. Katherine Harris, Rick Santorum, Tom Delay, Mike Huckabee. Not a single Democrat. Don't let the facts get in the way of your argument, though. October 19, 2006, 2:16:16 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar > Probably a good three or four. Well, then in less than 24 hours we'll know, won't we? October 19, 2006, 2:50:43 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom What, you have no response to the fact that Fox New's own video archive on its website only lists interviews with Republicans like Delay, Harris, Huckabee, Santorum, Bush and Denunzio (Pelosi's opponent). I don't see a single interview with a Democrat. What a surprise. October 19, 2006, 3:12:57 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar I'm not convinced that you have the internet savvy to find any interviews other than the ones you have been told are there. And I operate in a different manner than some: I don't spout off on something without knowing the facts for myself. And I'm too busy at the moment to poke around. But I'm confident enough to bet $10 to the charity of the winner's choice that I could find an interview with a Democrat there. October 19, 2006, 3:26:03 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom What are you talking about? It's a very simple process. Ready? www.foxnews.com Click on the tab that says "Video" A box will come up with bright, flashy colors. Click on the tabs on the side that say "Your decide 2006". There will be a few columns of special reports and interviews. Included are, Bush, Harris, Huckabee, Santorum, Denunzio and Tom Delay. No Democrats. I know conservatives have problems accomplishing difficult tasks. But I'm sure you can manage. LoL. It's amazing how pathetic this debate got, and how quickly it got there. I destroyed your argument about fair and balanced news by simply pointing to their own videos on their website, with 6 Republicans and not a single Democrat, and you folded instantly. October 19, 2006, 4:03:55 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Don't misrepresent. I made you an offer. $10 says I can point to a Democrat video on their site. Do you accept, yes or no? Heck, I'll up it to three. Three prominent democrats interviewed on video, sitting right on the Fox News site. (Yes, I decided to look for myself.) Now, are you ready to lose $10 or not? October 19, 2006, 4:12:38 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom I don't see any Democrats interviewed on that site. Point them out. Are you talking about Dems being interviewed in other parts of the video archive? Because if you include them than you'll literally end up tripling the number of Republicans interviewed. If you count all of those tabs and all of the videos on that entire website, you're talking about close to 20 Republicans. I was discussing the "you decide 2006" and "politics" tab sections. Include all of it if you want to, but you'll only embarass yourself because there's another 12 Republicans you'll have to include with those 3 little Democrats. Ted Kennedy's opponent, Dick Morris, John Boehner, John McCain, etc... October 19, 2006, 5:28:56 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar > Fox New's own video archive on its website only lists interviews with Republicans I offered a bet to prove how wrong this statement is. I haven't gotten an answer but I have gotten a nonresponsive attempt to change the terms. I'll take that as a refusal to accept the bet. But thank you for playing. October 19, 2006, 5:33:38 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom Congratulations, you lost the argument, as you have now proven that you do not wish to accept the challenge of counting up the conservatives in comparison to liberals by claiming I changed the criteria. I didn't and you know it, and I even invited you to include the whole site if you wanted, in which case you would still lose because there are about 18 Republican interviews and 3 Democrats at best. Nice try defending your party's personal propaganda outlet, though. At least you have some spirit. Maybe they'll bring you on as a guest after Fox News' is wiping their tearful eyes on November 8 when the GOP is sunk. October 20, 2006, 6:04:18 AM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar On the other thread I ticked off claim after claim that you concocted in argument that were phony, untrue, flat-out false. Here you made another one: no Democrat interviewed on the foxnews.com video archive. All of a sudden you want it to be about something else: COUNT how many Dems and compare it with GOPs. Um, that's called back-pedalling. You continue to toss crap into the discussion with stuff like "three Democrats at best" (man, you aren't even remotely close). You have an unfortunate tendency to make arguments that are nonsense, because you put forth "facts" that are blatantly untrue. But that's not surprising, since you did admit to being a Fox hater. October 20, 2006, 9:40:20 AM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar > Oh, and tomorrow, when F&F has Barack Obama on, what will be your claim then? > I'll wait and see how many Republicans they have on. Probably a good three or four. Bwahahaha! October 20, 2006, 10:14:49 AM EDT – Like – Reply Tom Well, how many did they have on? I just turned on the television at 10. Mike Dewine, John Thune, Michael Steele, not a single Democratic guest yet. So, how many Republicans were there? I woke up for "Fox and Friends First" before falling asleep, and I didn't even hear them mention Barack Obama. October 20, 2006, 12:15:51 PM EDT – Like – Reply OverHere Barack Obama was on, I saw him, and there was no Republican to counter anything he said. October 20, 2006, 12:22:14 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom No, that's not what I asked. I meant, how many Republican guests were brought on, or conservatives, for a sit down during Fox & Friends. A single interview does not determine bias or not. Counting up the total guests does. October 20, 2006, 12:37:13 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Oh well they did have another interview, with a former Senator. Oh wait, he was a Democrat too. Oops. October 20, 2006, 12:49:06 PM EDT – Like – Reply Fox Fan >A single interview does not determine bias or not. Counting up the total guests does. If you think Fox is biased, why don't you look to your Communist News Network or Olby's channel (whatever its name is) and do some counting? Comparatively, Fox is the ONLY news network that at least tries to balance the views. You can view a listing of Olby's guests over at www.olbermannwatch.com. Check it out and let us know how terrible Fox's bias is. If bias is your beef here, you should be enraged at the liberal MSM. October 20, 2006, 1:13:09 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom I LOVE IT. Your counter-argument to proof that Fox is biased is by claiming that the rest of the media is biased! Even if you're right, how does that make Fox "fair and balanced". It doesn't, and you basically just admitted that Fox is biased, which is why you love it, because it's your party's pathetic way of retaliating against Ted Turner. Now, is MSNBC biased? Certainly Olbermann is a liberal, and certainly his guests are mostly liberal. But Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough are both Republicans and they both have shows on MSNBC. No liberals have their own political shows on Fox News. How about CNN? Glenn Beck, right-wing radio talk show host, has his own show on CNN and I've tuned in and never seen a liberal guest on there. Lou Dobbs is also a paleoconservative, Pat Buchanan styled Reform Party guy, certainly not a liberal, and he has his own show and uses it to back the Minutemen at every opportunity. So while CNN and MSNBC probably tilt toward the left, for you to compare it to Fox News is simply pathetic. CNN and MSNBC, at the end of the day, have about 50/50 conservative/liberal breakdowns in their guests and their hosts. Fox is about 2/3 conservative guests and 100% Republican Conservative political anchors. I also like the "COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK". It's amazing, because the truth is, some of you are actually stupid enough to believe that CNN is run by communists and you aren't merely being sarcastic. October 20, 2006, 1:33:22 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom By the way, Johnny, you're a liar and it's obvious because you didn't provide any details and name the senator. Fox and Friends is 2 hours long and they would have had more than 2 political guests on. You're obviously not telling the truth. Would you like to count up the guests tonight on H&C and O'Reilly Factor? Or are you still too afraid that it'll show your favorite network's bias? October 20, 2006, 1:34:51 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Oh, isn't this interesting? When someone points out that Olby has Republican guests on average about once every six months, Tom shoots back that you shouldn't take one show in isolation, but instead look at the entire network schedule. But when talking about Fox he fixates on F&F only. Or who is on H&C. But never about the entire programming day. Standard Standard. October 20, 2006, 1:36:38 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Tom, one more example of personal attacks or name-calling and I WILL resort to deleting messages. Why are you asking me to count up the guests on H&C? According to you, counting up the guests on a single program proves nothing--you have to look at all the channel's programs to get a true picture. That's exactly the argument you made two minutes ago to defend Olbermann. Why are you suddenly changing the standards to discuss H&C? You're the great Fox expert. You're the one who said Obama would be outnumbered by 3 or 4 Republicans. OK, who were these phantom Republicans? How badly was he outnumbered? When will Tom start citing facts instead of making them up? October 20, 2006, 1:40:58 PM EDT – Like – Reply OverHere Hold the phone... Glenn Beck is on CNN? Really? When did that happen? Tom, seriously dude, check your alleged facts before you start spewing them here. October 20, 2006, 2:33:31 PM EDT – Like – Reply OverHere I know, I know, Headline News IS CNN. Right, that's why there are two separate channels... October 20, 2006, 2:39:49 PM EDT – Like – Reply OverHere Let's assume CNN and Headline News can be considered one and the same... then FOX News Radio can be considered FNC and guess what, Alan Colmes has a SOLO RADIO SHOW on FOX News Radio. But since that doesn't fit your argument, I assume you'll just want to ignore that. October 20, 2006, 2:53:28 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom Alan Colmes does not have a television show. Jesus Christ, take the stick out of your ass already and calm the hell down. You're whining because I said "CNN" instead of "CNN HEADLINE NEWS". God, grow up already. The point is, he has his own show at a CNN-related television channel, and Alan Colmes nor any other liberal has their own political show at Fox News. Keep grasping at those straws and nitpicking, you clearly can't prevail against the facts. October 20, 2006, 4:52:17 PM EDT – Like – Reply OverHere It must be really nice in your world Tom. October 20, 2006, 6:03:40 PM EDT – Like – Reply Johnthebaptist Was F&F the show where they had Santorum on and as they were introducing him said that they invited his democrat opponent but he declined to show up? I know I saw Santorum on a show today where that was stated, just not sure if it was F&F or something else.... One question I have is that IF it was true that Fox has primarily conservative guests, how is this a problem in light of the fact that there are plenty of other outlets who have primarily liberal guests? Would you be complaining if Fox had only liberals? Perhaps you need to focus in on Oprah and her lack of conservative guests. I think if you were to actually watch an entire day of Fox and listed every political guest you would see that it is in fact fairly even. October 20, 2006, 7:33:49 PM EDT – Like – Reply Tom BAM! Right there. I actually had some free time, having to take care of a sibling today, and so I watched a slew of Fox programs. Your World, Big Story, Fox Live, and so far the guest list has been LOP-SIDED. The only Democrats that have been brought on were brought on in the context of a 1 v 1 debate, while conservatives and Republicans were brought on for sit-down solo interviews in a steady stream. Politician after politician. At least 15 Republicans total, 3 Democrats at best. Cavuto, for example, had no Democrats, and the Big Story had 3 Republicans and only 1 Democrat. And, as I predicted, only the cliche Dems that Fox News allows on its network. Michael Brown, Kirsten Powers, etc... Also, once again you're letting your true thoughts about Fox show by claiming that I should just get my news elsewhere. It's obvious at this point that you people KNOW Fox is biased towards conservatives and Republicans, or you wouldn't use the "well, CNN has more liberals...." That's like CNN justifying having more liberals by pointing out Fox has more conservatives. Watch the O'Reilly Factor tonight and watch Hannity & Colmes and count the number for yourself. H&C is going to be a bit of an embarrasment, they're doing a show in front of a live audience, and the political orientation of their own viewers will be on full display. Can't wait for it. October 20, 2006, 7:52:15 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Tonight's O'Reilly factor is a rerun of his bush interview, so that's hardly a representative example. Several times today, at least twice, I heard Fox anchors state that they contacted this Democrat or that and they declined to appear. As I noted elsewhere, that's their own fault for not being there. October 20, 2006, 9:21:34 PM EDT – Like – Reply OverHere "Cliche Dems" Tom? And who are you that you're qualified to make that determination? October 21, 2006, 9:00:54 AM EDT – Like – Reply Fox Fan >It's obvious at this point that you people KNOW Fox is biased towards conservatives and Republicans, or you wouldn't use the "well, CNN has more liberals...."
