Bill O' said the same things on the phone with Laura Ingrahm, while she was hosting his show last night.

Can't wait to see him hammer the folks who confused Fox local networks with Fox News.

Hairy
Sure FNC and FOX Broadcasting aren't the same BUT they share the same owner and in some cases resources. If FNC wants to distance itself completely from FOX Broadcasting maybe it needs to stop putting the faces of FNC people on its screens. So there IS a relationship between the two. All the flack from O'rielly and other FNC yackers are just spin PERIOD!

The decision to air the OJ piece was made by Fox network broadcasting. It was done without any say from the Fox News personnel, and Fox News doesn't have any say in what the local affiliates report. Fox News is allowed to use local Fox affiliates to report on breaking news in the local areas.

FNC is not trying to "distance itself completely from FOX Broadcasting". It isn't trying to break off into its own entity. It was saying 'look, we didn't have anything to do with the decision to air so don't blame us', which they knew would otherwise happen. Because they did that, most of the articles online that I saw regarding the issue differentiated between them.
