'This Is What the Press Is Supposed to Do'J$P Audio! Bill O'Reilly weighs in on Barney Frank vs Chris
Wallace.
posted: Mon - November 27, 2006 at 12:28 PM j$p  send Tom Wallace was clearly hostile toward the Democrats going into that interview, calling Frank's agenda "inflammatory". Did he claims Gingrich's agenda was inflammatory, previously? That's the difference between how Democrats and Republicans are treated on Fox. Republicans, like David Horowitz, are brought to discuss their ideas and make their proposals, such as when H&C gave Horowitz and ENTIRE WEEK worth of airtime to do a special just on his book, "The Professors". Democrats are not brought on to discuss their ideas, they're brought on to DEFEND them and themselves from cheap shots from little weasels like Wallace. I count Hannity and Gingrich (c), Colmes and Barron (l), and Morris (i). I don't know about Kerik; he never impressed me as a (c) but even if I count him anyhow, that's 3 (c), 2 (d), 1 (i). For now. I don't know who's on the rest of the show. update: Add Laura Schwartz vs Bozell. Yeah, really unbalanced, eh Tom? Anyone who posits both sides, like FAIR AND BALANCED Fox News, is an enemy. Why are you anti-truthiness, Tom? I know which one was the crook (both of 'em), but I was confused as to which one was representing the liberal view. Or, that Fox interviewers coddle Repubs while challenging Dems? November 28, 2006, 9:47:13 AM EST – Like – Reply Joe The assumption is news. The fact is tabloid speculation and innuendo. The fact is tabloid speculation and innuendo." Except speculation isn't backed up by landslides of provable facts, and innuendo is indirect. O'Reilly is definitely NOT indirect. "Oreilly is nothing more than BatBoy." I have nothing to say about this inane statement. "A hack, fired from every job he has had. The guy is a moron, a failure and is only paid to incite hate." From Fox News's BOR bio: After receiving his Master's degree, O'Reilly began his television news career in Scranton, Pennsylvania, followed by stops in Dallas, Denver, Portland, Oregon, Hartford, and Boston. He received an Emmy Award for his report on sky-jacking at KMGH-TV in Denver. In 1980, he anchored his own program on WCBS-TV in New York and received an Emmy Award during his tenure there. Later he became a CBS News correspondent covering the wars in El Salvador and the Falkland Islands, among other assignments. In 1986, Bill O'Reilly joined ABC News as a correspondent on The World News Tonight. During his three year tenure, he appeared on the show more than one hundred times and two National Headliner Awards for excellence in reporting. O'Reilly's career changed in 1989 when he joined the nationally syndicated Inside Edition as senior correspondent and backup anchor. Within three weeks, he took over the anchor chair from David Frost. During his six years at Inside Edition, the show was one of the highest-rated "infotainment" programs in America. In 1995, O'Reilly left to enroll in the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University where he received a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Upon leaving Harvard, Roger Ailes, chairman and CEO of the then startup FOX News Channel, hired O'Reilly to anchor The O'Reilly Factor. "As Coulter suggested, maybe a tasty tainted muffin on Bill-o's desk some morning?" How can you (falsely) complain about Bill O' "inciting hate" one sentence before and now you incite hate towards him? You are a hypocrite or mentally vacuous, which is it? Once again, a barking moonbat proves himself an utter moron. Thanks, Joe! November 28, 2006, 12:32:15 PM EST – Like – Reply Tom Johnny, if you claim Dick Morris is an "independent", there's no point in discussing political bias with you, because you're clearly dilluded. Dick Morris is a GOP hack who spends every appearance attacking Democrats and trying to coach Republicans on how they can win. For the last six months, it was "how they can survive". Don't give me any garbage about how he's a former Clinton adviser. He's a Republican adviser and the only reason Clinton hired him was to direct him more towards the right during his presidency. CAFTA, welfare reform, etc... Now Morris despises Clinton, both of them, and takes every opportunity to bash them. If you can't admit Dick Morris is a Republican or conservative pundit who is brought on to bash Democrats than there's simply no point in discussing the issue because you don't even believe what you're saying. As for memos, I can hardly explain something that is nonexistent. As for memos, I can hardly explain something that is nonexistent." Are you claiming he has liberal positions on these issues or that he advocated Republicans take them to win elections? Because one is clearly different than the other. For example, on the minimum wage, he told Republicans to raise it "or find new work", not because he supports it but because the public clearly does, and Morris is a guy who works the polls. As for the memo, you know what we're referring to. The Fox News internal memos in which the vice president of Fox News directs on air hosts to use Republican talking points, "Abortion on demand" "activist judges" "liberal media", etc... Fox New's latest memo discussed how "terrorists must be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem controlled Congress" and urged hosts and anchors to looking for Al Queda statements about the election to attack Dems over, and then instructed hosts to "keep working the Hamas thread" to scare their viewers. Sean hannity hosted his own one-hour special just three days before the election. You would have murdered someone if CNN had given Al Franken an hour to mouth off on Sunday night before the election. November 29, 2006, 2:32:34 AM EST – Like – Reply johnny dollar CNN devoted FIVE hours to "Broken Government" specials just before the election. And they didn't emulate Hannity's special, which included all points of view. I'm still waiting for you to cite the memo that tells people to attack all Democrats. As for Dick Morris, you've obviously decided to punt, and given the total absurdity of your position, I can hardly blame you. November 29, 2006, 10:55:48 AM EST – Like – Reply Ira Tom: Rather than reading and spouting tired out-of-context comments from left wing blogs, try "Off With Their Heads" by the aforementioned Dick Morris. Not exactly William F. Buckley material. And if I were called a "Jewish SOB" as Morris was, I also wouldn't be a fan of Hillary or Bill. November 29, 2006, 1:00:06 PM EST – Like – Reply |
