The Daily Show produces better quality comedy on any day of the week, despite this show being given the advantage of having a full week to come up with material.
 
This is what happens when you're so fanatically political that you put your politcs ahead of making people laugh. The half hour news hour is a complete disaster, and conservatives know it. Even most right-wing blogs admitted it wasn't funny, and was a complete flop. Nothing changed the second week around.

The Factor
Who is this fool Anonymous? The show is a pilot. It has been given no budget. It was pumped out weeks ago and is an experiment to see if it can work. The Daily Show has been on for years and has a huge budget.

The show sucks. I'm a liberal so I suppose you can say It must be because of that. But for the record I think Dennis Miller is very funny and he tilts right. Another guy Nick, something or another(Can't remeber) From the Carson Daly show seemed to be pretty much to the right. I thought he was crazy but funny. Hell I even think Rush Limbaugh is witty at times and I can't stand him. The 1/2 news hour is just not funny at all. 
 
The biggest problem I see is that it sets up straw men then makes fun of the straw man. for example the Obama joke about drugs and his approval rating being 99%. It was awful because Obama doesn't have a drug problem. Take the daily show. Where Cheney shot a man in the face. "The first vice president to shoot a man since Aaron Burr." To me it is funny because it is making fun of the absurdity of an actual event. 
 
The 1/2 news show should do this. As a liberal I can honestly say it's not like there is nothing absurb coming out of Democrats mouths. Just like Republicans they should be easy pickings. I mean come on, this is politics. is anyhting else inherently more funny?
