"...the biggest offender in the purposeful, willful, misinterpretation-for-effect department...".

Of KO, there have never been truer words spoken. The WPITW minute might not exist if not for Olby's unscrupulous determination to smear.

Hooray for John Gibson! He's witty and he's got style!

Whenever I hear him take on Olbermann, I think back to the day when Olbermann started it by mischaracterizing a remark Gibson made as being bigoted and then calling upon him to apologize or resign.

Apologize or resign...no explanation or benefit of the doubt required when it comes to FOX New's Gibby, who Olbermann deemed as having been helpful to him when he (Gibson) worked at MSNBC, in the creepily condescending preface to his attack on the man.

THAT incident tells you everything you need to know about K.O.

This is Olbermann's MO.

He (and his producers) simply go to these liberal/left websites and regurgitate whatever smears they publish.

He (or his staff) apparently never go to the original sources - transcripts, tapes, et cetera to verify the charges - OR contact the person being criticized to allow them to respond.

This latter process - going to primary sources, allowing replies - is called REPORTING.

It's also something that KO never engages in.

News anchor my fanny.

Gibson has always had a whiney quality to his voice, not in the pouting sense, but in that twang affectation that is common to some West Texas men. I realize Gibson is not a West Texan, but the quality is there. Generally, that doesn't bother me, but it worsens when he slips into his paranoia mode (the BBC is after me, Olbermann is after me, Stewart is after me). Then, the affectation becomes irritating.
