But thankfully, after an hour of Olby, most people get the picture and turn in for the night. I guess even liberal Republican Joe Scarborough was just too unbearable for MSNBC primetime. When will they realize that they need to completely overhaul that network. October 10, 2007, 8:15:39 AM EDT – Like – Reply FoxNewsWhines Pathetic response, he didn't actually refute anything. Gibson is a partisan Republican, so is O'Reilly, so is Hume and so is Cavuto, as well as GOP congressman John Kasich, WSJ editorial writers David Asman and Paul Gigot, all of whom have their own programs. There is nothing that sniveling little weasels like John Gibson can do about that fact other than sit there and rant about how "liberal" the rest of the media is like the pathetic hypocrite that he is. Hate to break it to you, Johnny, but even the writers at Newsbusters admit O'Reilly is a conservative. Fox News is nothing but a mouthpiece for the GOP and Gibson is a great example of it. Do you actually watch Brit Hume's "All-Star" panel? Which consists of only Republicans and conservatives? Barnes, Hume, Krauthammer, Mara Liasson (who had to assure Roger Ailes personally that she was a Republican before she got the job), Kondracke. The only liberal that ever appeared on the All-Star panel was JUan Williams, and it doesn't seem as though he ever appears anymore, only on scant occasions. Fox is propaganda, plain and simple. And no one takes Fox serious except for partisan Republicans like Johnny here. October 10, 2007, 8:51:26 PM EDT – Like – Reply ImNotBlue The writers that Newsbusters refer to O'Reilly as a populist. Where are you getting that they call him something else? Is someone making things up again... *tsk*tsk* looks like someone needs a hug. October 12, 2007, 1:05:52 PM EDT – Like – Reply sknabt FoxNewsWhines, J$ doesn't like to engage in debates on Fox News' bias. Don't bother. Fox News is an extension of right-wing talk radio run by a former Rush Limbaugh executive producer, Roger Ailes. It's right-wing half-truth central. The extent that J$ understands the depth of Fox News' fraud we'll nerve know but he obviously smells there's a skunk in the room. Most conservatives grudgingly admit to the bias. Few, if any, will admit to the extent of the bias and, to be fair, they probably can't comprehend it. I think it was Bill O'Reilly and Laura Ingraham who I caught whining - as the Foxies always do - about the lying liberal mainstream media. As I recall, Laura started gushing about that's why right-wing talk radio is so important. It's the source of truth as is Fox News. I don't even think she realized the implication of what she was saying nor did O'Reilly. To them Rush Limbaugh (or pick your right-wing talk radio pundit) is the benchmark of a political center and honesty. Given that, Fox News looks absolutely "fair and balanced" and everyone else helpless liberals. Since Scarboro chose to dump Scarlboro Country in favor of Morning Joe which he enjoys doing more, Abrams has joined Olbermann as putting the sort of focus on Fox News they've put on the rest of the media. And, typical of hypocrites, Fox News is hypersensitive to said scrutiny. Enjoy the show. . October 13, 2007, 3:12:40 PM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Oh yeah, I caught O'Reilly with Laura Ingraham too. As I recall they were arguing about global warming with the "right wing" O'Reilly insisting that Gore deserved the Nobel prize for his work on global warming. More of that Fox "right wing bias" I suppose. Oh and sknabt, I offered to dialogue with FNW (aka John Rawker aka etc etc) if he would man up and address the lie about me I caught him in on another thread. Instead of doing so he changed his name and popped up in a different thread. If you think you can have a productive conversation with someone who doesn't tell the truth, then be my guest. But I don't waste time debating with liars. October 13, 2007, 3:22:15 PM EDT – Like – Reply Fox Fan sknabt, how can you claim that johnny doesn't like to engage in debates about Fox News bias? That's not true at all. Exposing lies about the bias is the primary function of this site, and I've enjoyed watching you and him go back and forth on on the topic on many occasions. Hardly skirting the engagement... October 13, 2007, 5:11:00 PM EDT – Like – Reply sknabt J$, Digging around HaloSPAM is awfully painful but the trail of bread crumbs seems to lead me to some posts of you rushing to the "liar" label once again to trash a liberal over an alleged deleted post. Did you ever ponder for a nanosecond said poster isn't lying and that the pile-o-crap HaloSPAM ate his post, he missed it, and assumed the worse? I can't count the number of posts that got eaten by HaloSPAM even when I thought I'd copied a backup to my clipboard. But let's forget the side issue of you finding yet another dodge to engage on Fox News' right-wing bias and get closer to the point. Since you're such an expert on O'Reilly do me a favor. Go through your tapes and count the number of times he bashes the left, picks topics to attack the left, etc. Ditto the right. Then lets toss your results on a scale to measure the balance. It can't be argued O'Reilly is anything but a right-wing foamer. The only fig leaf of defense of the man as being balanced - forget "no spin" because that's a pile of baloney on his part - is that sometimes he lets a token liberal on the show as a foil to his liberal-bashing. That's when the hypocrite isn't screaming some liberal he hopes to trash is too afraid to face him. I don't watch Fox News like I used to (gratefully) but its bias has become so blatant it's absurd. Fox & Friends beating up Gore, defending Rush. They even spun the story of Clooney's medical records getting exposed with Kilmeade mouthing off about the liberal media not treating Rush the same. Let's ignore General Sanchez's expert criticisms of the Iraq failure but discuss his broadly vague defensive attack on the press where he oddly singles the European arm of Starts & Stripes (per the latest segment I caught on Fox Online) in a back drop of an ad of yet another Sandy Burger special. Lots to please fans of right-wing talk radio. Nothing to please liberals but lots to p*ss 'em off. On and on the right-wing sideshow rambles on. . Um, no I didn't. Because his post wasn't deleted, or eaten. It is still sitting right there where it always was, and I have TWICE directed him directly to the URL where it sits. Instead he called me a lying weasel, ran away, changed his name, and reappeared under a new disguise. Now you tell me, does that make him honest, or dishonest? > count the number of times he bashes the left, picks topics to attack the left... It can't be argued O'Reilly is anything but a right-wing foamer Says you. But if that were the case he would NEVER take positions that were not right-wing positions. I see you neatly avoided my comment about O'Reilly congratulating Gore and saying he deserved the Nobel Prize. Is that the view of a "right wing foamer"? > Fox & Friends beating up Gore I'd like to know what segment you saw of that. > Let's ignore General Sanchez's expert criticisms of the Iraq failure but discuss his broadly vague defensive attack on the press Are you saying Fox has "ignored" Sanchez's "expert" (odd adjective for the architect of a failure) criticisms of Iraq? Really? Because that's errant, patent nonsense. And you know it. Or, maybe you don't know it, because you just made it up. You tell me. I see you neatly avoided my comment about O'Reilly congratulating Gore and saying he deserved the Nobel Prize. Is that the view of a 'right wing foamer'?" Your argument is so disingenuous you should be embarrassed. This is the stale, age-old argument Rush Limbaugh isn't conservative because he'll criticize Bush from time to time. Yeah, when he isn't conservative enough on, say, immigration. Ditto O'Reilly. By your definition Bill Maher isn't liberal because he does some Hillary jokes. I don't see you going for my challenge of counting O'Reilly's slams because we both know O'Reilly's "no spin" would overwhelmingly be pointed at "un-American" liberal "pinheads", "assassins", etc. "Are you saying Fox has 'ignored' Sanchez's 'expert' (odd adjective for the architect of a failure) criticisms of Iraq? Really? Because that's errant, patent nonsense. And you know it. Or, maybe you don't know it, because you just made it up. You tell me." The failure in Iraq was architected by politicians, not our military. Yeah, I'd say that General Sanchez is an expert on Iraq based upon training and experience. My views on Fox & Friends is based upon personal viewing habits. Speaking of F & F there's a second dip today. They're bringing up Sanchez's attack on the media again. This time, unlike the last time I heard them, they mention in passing, his criticism of Iraq without providing any detail. They bring in a right-winger, Cliff Mays, sharing their opinions to obsess on Sanchez's media-bashing. Previous to that they, of course, ran a segment called "NASCAR Coodies" (a title ripped from right-wing blog Newsbusters). Of course, key facts were left out like the fact the Congressional staffers in question were part of a homeland security committee who weren't getting shots because they were going to be sitting in the stands with fans but becuse they were going to visit health clinics on site. But the facts spoil the right-wing fun and spin. As I wrap up this post F & F has shifted its liberal-bashing to an attack on MoveOn.org with a teaser promo of an upcoming interview with Rush Limbaugh (he's attacking the Dems in Congress for writing him a letter). On and on the Fox News right-wing circus goes. But hey, maybe they'll say they like Al Gore's tie and it'll balance out all the liberal-bashing. . October 16, 2007, 7:35:31 AM EDT – Like – Reply johnny dollar Well I'd still like to know what F&F segment you saw of them "beating up Gore". And I'd still like to know if you're claiming F&F "ignored" Sanchez's criticisms of Iraq. Because I KNOW that's false, and would sure like to know what you base that on.
