So, that's Julie from the Hounds. This is the downside to the Examiner: anyone can write for them. But the upside is the same: is anyone can write for them. Here is an example of a noble Examiner page.

Is there anyway one can criticize President Obama (that is not from the standpoint of saying that he should be more to the left) and not have some idiotic liberal call you a racist?

Is that possible?

It's a given that no political contrarian can parody, lampoon, or satirize the president without being likened to David Duke?

And I'm aware that any political opposition to him is a sign of ideological extremism.

Now, evidently, Obama supporters have circled the wagons so completely that any conservative with the temerity to speak anything even critical of Pres. Obama, is now accused of running around and burning crosses at night.

That pretty much explains a lot. They actually think it is news and not comedy.

That would explain their lack of a sense of humor as well as their lack of knowing what the difference between news and commentary really is.

How many times is Olbermann going to use his mother's death as a rebuttal to some critical report?

Didn't he use her death recently when he disputed a Cityfile report saying that he took an unscheduled vacation in April of this year because he was upset that the Maddow show booked Ben Affleck before he could?

He said he took off to mourn his mom and then Cityfile ran a photo taken of him, his girlfriend, and a tv celebrity at a baseball game...

Regarding the article about Keith warning about comments regarding his mother.

Olbermann explains that he didn't know what Wolfe does. I would say that it's quite lazy or incompetent of a host to allow someone fill-in for them when they don't even know what the person does for a living.

Loved this from the comments section.

Even if he did lose advertisers, there appears to be a long line of companies willing to take their place.

Beck and all of FNC are not short of advertisers.

A quick review of the ratings show that FNC leads CNN/MSNBC combined in the demo, and as I recall Haggis frequently saying*, it's the demo that advertisers go after.

* back in the day when we also heard claims from the BOR haters that Olbermann's ratings were going up would soon be higher than BORs. How did that work out for them?

The question came from a viewer named Peter from Victoria, BC, who asked: "Has anyone noticed that life expectancy in Canada under our health system is higher than the USA?"

Bill's response on Life expectancy:
" Well, that's to be expected Peter, because we have 10 times as many people as you do. That translates to 10 times as many accidents, crimes, down the line." Delivered, of course, in BillO's trademark patronizing style.

Haggis, I was hoping to see what you had to say. Too bad you are unable to provide your own anaysis.

But your BOR quote. Forgive me for being skeptical, after all you are notorious for providing ficticious BOR quotes, or altered BOR quotes.

Regardless, I would hope that in your email to BOR you discussed the extreme variations in statistical sampling when comparing two widely varied samples/population. A 1000% variance between the two will skew the results of a statistical study. Considering that medical infrastructure/systems are the basis for discussion here, does your analysis take into account that an apparent higher overall life expectancy rate in Canada may be skewed by a different environment (Crime, weather, etc) against the fact that specific medical indicators (death rate by cancer, death rate by heart disease) ---those specific to medical, are actually higher in Canada than in the US? Skewing of the results are definitely a factor in the 1000% difference.

Apparently Johnny, Haggis does not understand that a recent settlement is worthy of current commentary.

Haggis, you apparently have trouble understanding the link of Obama to GE. If you are thinking BOR is claiming Obama is responsible, you would be wrong. This is what BOR was talking about.

1. GE is in financial trouble.
2. Immelt is responsible as CEO
3. GE's news division provides highly favorable coverage of Obama.
4. A news anchor/host of the GE news division states publically states that it is his job to help Obama succeed.
5. After providing said favorable coverage, Immelt is rewarded by being made an advisor to the President and GE is given a bailout.
6. Obama gave money to GE despite their involvement is fraud.

GE takes bailout money

if I maybe of help again? the settlement happened Tuesday after a 4 1/2 yrs investigation

also:

GE settled the claim, without admitting or denying allegations, by paying the SEC a $50 million penalty

as for Oreilly:

Immelt is on Obamas economic Advisory board and that's why/how oreilly tied it to Obama.

I saw the segment in real time and the inclusive dated of the fraud were mentioned at least twice.

What is the plication, according to you, if BOR had not mentioned the dates?

After all the fact that MSNBC is Obama's and Dems biggest boosters and have benefitted by a Presidential appointment and are poised to reap obscene profits from proposed Admin legislation is immaterial to the dates of the fraud. Immelt is the glue that binds it b/c of the length of his tenure as GE's head.

Good job, Ashley, on explaining to Haggis why O'Reilly was making a statement that ignored proportionality.

A higher population WOULD trend towards a higher death rate for precisely the same reasons O'Reilly stated.

Just as a varied ethnic, racial, and economic population would tend towards a higher one, than would one that is more homogenous.
