I suppose the real question is, with Howard Dean as a substitute, is the show going to get more or less insane? Between Olby's obsessions, and Dean's... well... "instabilities," it's a hard pick.

I watched about 5 minutes of Wolffe as Olbermann on Friday....one word....
unwatchable.
I suppose I will react the same way to Dean and O'Donnell....both are very irritating pompous twits with grating voices, like Wolffe. Dean has some odd tics as well.
I am amazed to say that I actually MISS Keith Olbermann.
Should I give-up my OW posting privileges?

Speaking of MSNBC... I just watched Chris Matthews and WP columnist Eugene Robinson argue that the "your mama" comment that Prof Gates reportedly made, was implausible.
Matthews conjectured that Officer Crowley could have reported on his own "projections" of how a black man talks.
I suppose that's a polite way of saying that Crowley is lying. It's certainly a way of suggesting endemic, inveterate, barely conscious racism, rather than what is hard to prove in this case-- the intentional type.
Robinson went on to remark that there is no way that a cultured Harvard professor would ever use slang like that.
Evidently, there are some things that sophisticated Ivy League professors just won't do.
Working class policemen-- not so much...

I watched a few min of hardball since sometime last year....OMFG he really has taken a leap to the far left....I dont agree with the birthers one bit......but where was Chris when the AWOL guys were out there.....I dont remember him calling them crazy......afterall Bush did have a HD so it must have been crazy to questuion it.

Thank you J$ for posting Laura's new son's pic. She voices a pro life message & lives it out in real life as well. Some may not know this, but she is fluent in spanish & russian & now has a little daughter from Guatemala and a new little son from Russia, would love to sit at that table 10 years from now & hear what they are saying & in what language!
