Here is a link to an article in the Wall Street Journal by James taranto regarding Nancy Pelosi's swastika remarks and Paul Krugman's remarks about the Town Hall meetings.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204908604574336462379328406.html

A very good article without the typical News Hounds type attacks, smears and vile personal attacks.

Ellen has posted her latest screed about this as well but she only showed one side of the issue.

This is a response to her post.

p.s. I will give her a tiny little credit on this one. No smears or personal attacks. She left that to her poodles as usual.

And to think that she blames Glenn Beck for encouraging violence.

You are being rather cagey. You have one last chance to either stand by your claim or amend what you said. If you do not do either then I will take your next post to mean you stand by what you said and proceed accordingly.

Haggis yesterday: I notice the weekend friends had Dr. Marc Siegel on again to dish up his talking points....The same talking points he dished up for the weekday Friends. Of course there was absolutely NO opposing viewpoint...

What Haggis neglected to mention is that after Dr Siegel's segment, they did an interview with Rep Joe Sestak (D). Giving the opposing viewpoint. (Of course Media Matters, Haggie's source, somehow didn't mention that either.)

I gave Haggis several opportunities to correct or amend what he said, but when I gave him one last chance to do so, he posted about a different topic entirely. That post didn't go thru because by that time Haggis had definitively lost the Moderator's Privilege Challenge. 24 hours on Exile Island for trying to fool the readers of J$P.

You are right about Rep Joe Sestak (D) being on. But why was he not on at the same time Dr Siegel? was on?
Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to take Haggis's side.

I don't get it - if FBN is trying to establish itself as a viable business network, why would they put HIM, especially at those hours, when people are watching for futures and around the world data? This would truly force the viewer to CNBC.

Imus was OK, but he's not THAT big of a draw, is he?

"But why was he not on at the same time Dr Siegel? was on? "

Why should he be? There is no Noah's Ark rule in tv news (all guests must appear in pairs). Does Meet the Press or any tv news show you know of follow such a rule?

To say "Of course there was absolutely NO opposing viewpoint..."

was an outright lie intended to manipulate and deceive.

We're also waiting for Haggis to answer this direct, specific question posed to him after he made a similar "no balance" claim:

Why don't you, instead of trying to divert the conversation to Cavuto, explain how it was that you didn't know about (or simply didn't tell teh truth about) the pro-healthcare guests on F&F this morning?

There is no rule about having to be on at the same time. But if Joe was there to talk about the same thing as Dr Siegel then I'd have thought they would both be on at the same time. I didn't actually see the segment with Joe but read that he would be on. Is there any video of that segment. Haggis DON'T post MM links as I DON'T go there.

Interesting info on the ideological impurities that caused Keith Olbermann to cast aside Dana Milbank.

Anyone have any idea what thought or speech crime caused Craig Crawford (formerly Olbermann's Brain) to be banished from Olbermann's china world?

Haggis wants to say that he did not lose the challenge, because Joe Sestak, though he spoke about healthcare, did not discuss the same points that Dr Siegel did.

What say you all? Is Haggis in the right? Or did the Quorum make the right call? Cast your votes now! Decision in three hours will be determined by your votes! (Note: no proxy-server votes will be counted. Sorry, Haggie!)

Miss Priscilla/Claudo/He/she/it( It is just so hard nowadays to tell what people are) posted about Nancy Pelosi and her "unamerican" remark.

In her post she screeches that Nancy never called the protestors "unamerican" but she came very close. As Speaker of the House she should no better.

Priscilla went on to complain how Fox handle the story.

Well, I am her to complain about Priscilla handles her post.

Pelosi said "Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American".

Priscilla's response should have been something along these lines.....

"As any conservative who has ever tried to give a speech on some American university campuses could attest."

Come on Priscill, if you are going to complain you really need to do better.

I also have a question for him. Of course, he won't answer it. He'll either claim that he did when he really didn't, or simply ignore. Here we go.

If you are concerned that Joe Sestak did not discuss the same points that Dr Siegel did, then are you equally upset that Dr. Siegel was not allowed by the friends to comment about what Joe Sestak said?

By my count the vote is 1 for Haggis, 3 for the Quorum. I'm not sure what Grammie's vote is so I'll leave it alone! A little under two hours left in the voting. Haggis complains that the vote's unfair because so many people don't like him. Fair point: cast your votes on the basis of the arguments, not based on past incidents--which would leave Haggis no chance at all!

Let's see what Haggis said earlier:

"notice the weekend friends had Dr. Marc Siegel on again to dish up his talking points....The same talking points he dished up for the weekday Friends. Of course there was absolutely NO opposing viewpoint. ...The Friends simply let him spew away without a single challenge to anything he said."

"absolutely no opposing viewpoint" is flat out wrong.

"without a single challenge" is flat out wrong.

Haggis is flat out wrong.

My vote remains unchanged. I vote against Haggis, with the Quorum.

Oh really "Ryan", you know that to be fact? I'm always doing it? Interesting that you pick just now to post for the first time here.

You know, it really is pathetic to see someone have to invent a new identity to write posts that agree with their other posts. Examples of "Stan" and "Bungling Bob". BB arrived moments after Haggis was banned last summer. After one or two posts saying "hi", BB quickly rushed to Haggis' defense and complained that Haggis was banned, afterall, BB wanted to hear what Haggis had to say.

Really pathetic.

Even the l'il feller never did that.

Well I don't see from the IP addresses any connection between Haggis and Ryan, so let's not get into personal accusations here. However, Ryan and Peter both, by coincidence, seem to come from the very same city and ISP. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Spud has convinced me: Imus going to FBN would destroy FBN and prop up CNBC. And somewhere, Cablevision CEO James Dolan is saying "Good, then the station can die and I'll look like a genius for not opting to add it to my company's TV lineup." And he's also thinking, "Only on Cablevision, not on phone company TV or anywhere else."

Ryan, I have no bone to pick with you. When Haggis does do the gentlemanly thing by answering my questions, since I've answered his, then we can move forward and you, Ryan, will learn my answers at this time.

By the way Ryan, where do you hail from? As a regular reader of J$P, you would know that we share that info.

John, ya gotta admit, that is an amazing coincidence. It's one thing to come from the same city and have the same ISP, but to have a similar viewpoint? What are the odds????

By the way, am I not alone among J$P posters who hope Haggis is enjoying keeping up with events watching TV over the famous Exile Island Electric Satellite Dish?

By the same token of Sestak being featured alone, he also was allowed to "spew away" without rebuttal.

The gist of Haggis' criticism was that FNC does not give equal time to liberal viewpoints, or treat liberals as well as they do conservatives.

I vote that Haggis remain on Exile Island, throwing feces and coconuts with the other monkeys.

Oh, that's idiotic!

Haggis' entire point was that liberal viewpoints are not treated equally on F&F.

If you're going to try and get around the fact that there was INDEED an equal alternative to Dr. Siegel by straining at a gnat-- that Sestak didn't get to address Siegel's points-- then you must also admit that Siegel didn't get to address Sestak's points either.

This would be called a draw, BUT for the fact that from the green room, Sestak could have watched Siegel commenting, and COULD have addresed Siegel's points, if he hadn't been busy trying to make his own.

Advantage: Sestak

You're voted off the island too, RyanBunnyMan. Take your straw man with you.

Cecelia, as I understand it, Johnny's reluctance is a financial one. Apparently, the Procurement Dept. at the Johnny Dollar Facility (located in Salina, Kansas...the near CENTER of th U.S.) ordered 10,000 "Cecelia" plaques for it's CoTD wall, but they used those all up in only a few weeks. Chief Financial Officer Haggis is suddenly unable to arrange for funds to buy new. Ever resourceful Johnny is trying to figure how to convert the many cases of unused, dust-ridden, Haggis plaques. We're hoping Haggis can provide some answers about the finances, but he's unavailable for comment.
