Now why would someone send that email to Newshound? Newshound is known for abusing the IP addresses of folks who comment on their threads...$10 says they spoofed the IP of the email they claim to have received.

Sounds to to like Julie has set a threatening tone at her blog site. Using big words like attorney, attribution, permission and other words she needed to look up to determine their meanings.
I remember getting a threatening emails from News Hounds. I took it to my lawyer. He and I reviewed the News Hounds web site that day.
After he got up off the floor from laughing so hard he said, "Whoever sent the email apparently lacks any understanding of the laws regarding harassment. Should it happen again, let me know. I know exactly how to deal with their kind."
@ 2008. I believe you are correct. Julie and her crowd are craving attention or why all of a sudden would they take to the blogsphere and suggest those things Julie is suggesting.
