Fox News Ignores Tom Ridge Story
Reported by Ellen - August 21, 2009 - 15 comments
Let's begin and end with the BIG LIE.
Fox did NOT ignore the Tom Ridge story. As Miss Ellen, the congenital liar, stated in her own post...."Fox had only mentioned it twice".
Since Miss Ellen lied up front, everything else she says on the matter is useless.

Fox did mention it, not as much as MSNBC did but they did mention it. Make you wonder who was pulling the strings behind the 2004 campaign , if true, this has Cheney written all over it.
I voted for Bush in 2000 but not in 2004 and I just don't think he is that low of a person to order that.

And if it's not true, which networks and show hosts would be at fault for promoting it as so?

Moos' "faux pas" and abject apology reminds me of an old joke.
A Baptist, a Presbyterian, and a Episcopalian stood before the gates of heaven.
Each of them expressed some concern about whether they would be allowed to enter.
The trembling Baptist, sobbed about the times that he had succumbed to temptation and drank whiskey from a bottle he hidden in his basement.
The shamefaced Presbyterian whispered about the times he had cheated his business partner.
The Episcopalian too confessed to a moral lapse that could leave her outside that pearly entrance.
Shaking her head in sadness, she related how she had once used the wrong fork at dinner.

Re: Olbermann's Splash
What the heck is this guy trying to say?
O'Reilly is far and away the biggest in cable.
However, cable is not that big or significant.
FNC may be bigger than MSNBC.
However big is not the whole story.
Olbermann is the biggest thing on MSNBC.
The significant story in an industry that isn't that big, or significant, is that Keith Olbermann is big and significant because he has made a little cable channel bigger.
Whatevah...

ZD, he also said he was #1 among people 35 and under. That's like saying the Mets are in first place among MLB teams currently in fourth place in their divisions. Is that all you've got, Merkle? Wise up.

Oh, by the way, what you had there was a discredited pseudo-reporter discrediting a newspaper that is primarily on his side and a legitimate writer. Why must you do this, Keith?

Johnny...I'm surprised such a eagle eyed chap like yourself completely missed this humdinger from Hannity.
Hannity somehow managed to mix up GOP Rep. Bachus with Dem Sen. Baucus while talking about Social Security....It was Bachus(R) making the outlandish claims...But of course Hannity though it would be much more favourable if he could confuse his viewers into believing it was Baucus (D) who made the outlandish social security claims.
Guess what....He did exactly that....and not just once,,,,he went on and did exactly the same thing the following night.
I've been spanking the monkey/tin all day....but you get the drift.

Why, KO must be dominating his time slot vs. the competition, no O'Reilly has more viewers than KO. HN & CNN combined. Is this hard for anyone besides Haggis to understand? Bottom line, Messnbc going nowhere & no one is watching so no reason to worry as Obamacare goes down the hospice shute along with messnbc ratings.

It's not so much about getting information from another site. We read Johnny's links here and discuss them. That's what the this blog is about, to my thinking.
Haggis isn't here to talk about Johnny's content. He's here to bringing criticism from other sites, in order to throw it out and say--"Aha! Account for this!"
There are very few people who wouldn't tire of that. It's not a dialogue. It's not a discussion. It's not even a debate. It's Haggis demanding that we account for something he finds second-hand on another site, because he thinks FNC sucks and feels we should too.
That's all this site is to him and that's all we are. We're targets for Haggis to yell, "Take THAT!".
Again, there's nothing to be gained from such a person. They don't offer anything, they don't wish to gain anything, they simply wish to force something upon others.
That's why they're referred to as trolls.

On friday August 21, congeniral liar Ellen, leader of the Heinous Hens of Houndland, posted this lie.
Fox News Ignores Tom Ridge Story
Reported by Ellen - Fri 11:58 PM
Her own post disputes her own headline.
Today on Fox News Sunday, the panel had an entire 7 minute segment dedicated to the Ridge book.
In their rush to judgement, the Hideous Hounds just could wait to smear Fox with the Ridge information.
This is a pattern with them and other ignorant leftist sites. They jump on the bandwagon and a few days later their original posts become non news.
Incidently, Tom Ridge never said he was directly pressured. So there is another News Hound lie.
And so it goes.

Do you mind showing me where Drudge uses 'Chop Shop' Video like MM? And the 19+ Opinion Bloggers that post on Drudge like Huff-PO has on their front page?
It seems funny. For some folks who do nothing but complain about FNC, it seems they can't tear themselves away from the Channel.
Unless they don't really watch FNC and all they do is get their talking points from MM & Huff-PO.

TVeyes.com is reporting some amazing findings over the Tom Ridge affair.
In the 1st 24 hours of the story being reported....CNN mentioned it 41 times....MSNBC 62 times....FNC mentioned it all of 2 times....You can probably bump that number up to 3....as I think it was mentioned on FNS.
This report should put to rest once and for all that FNC has a major RW bias.

Megyn Kelly Thought The AMA "Very Influential" Before She Declared It Wasn't
Reported by Ellen - August 23, 2009 - comments
Well, Ellen and her lap dogs have done it again.
The Liar in Chief posts a screed referrencing Media Matters( This alone makes it suspect ) that purports Megyn Kelly flipped flopped on the AMA.
Of course if you read the stories from August 21 and June 11 you will notice very little difference in what Kelly said.
I guess it must be a slow day for MM and the Poodles. This is simply more of the same attacks on Fox.
And so it goes.

Al, Im going to answer your questions but in a different order than you wrote (for clarity purposes):
it is no different that Hannity or Doocy quoting Drudge, which as a reader of Drudge I can tell you that they do that alot,
Its tough to actually quote Drudge, being that Drudge isnt a blogger, but a news aggregator. The articles Drudge posts arent written by him, rather theyre written by a variety of other publications and sites around the internet. Unless Drudge wrote a column (which he does, but rarely), he FNC cant really quote Drudge.
What is the difference between someone getting info from Media Matters?
Well, Media Matters is an advocacy site a site designed with the express purpose of attacking people with a certain idea, and promoting people with another. Therefore, all their information should be viewed as propaganda and not trusted without other independent confirmation. This is the same for right-wing sites (like Newsbusters), you cannot take their word for it, because they are too politically motivated to be trusted.
and Drudge is very misinformed just like Media Matter or Huffpo
Now, the difference between Drudge and Media Matters should be obvious. One points to interesting articles written by other people, and the other uses dubious methods to attack people who do not agree with the sites editors points of view.

Would a responsible news organization push and push and push a pre-release story put out by a publicist for a book that allegedly claims it contains unverified allegations claiming an administration might have used decisions regarding security concerns for political gain?
If the answer is no, then it appears it's quite possible Ellen and Haggis have turned a new leaf and could actually be praising FOX News for their restraint in pushing an unverified story about unverified allegations that are meant to push book sales, tar a previous administration and provide sustanance for undernourished jackals...........

Media Matter is so accurate that here's what they say Tom Ridge said about being asked to raise the threat level the weekend before the 2004 election:
Media Matters-- "Big surprise, right? Former Department of Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge admits in his upcoming book that he was pressured by very senior Bush White House officials to raise the nation's terror level warning and to do it for purely for political reasons. "
Of course that is not exactly what Ridge wrote...
Sec. Tom Ridge was told by AG Ashcroft and Sec. Rumfeld that they felt the alert should be raised (the weekend before the 2004 election), and Ridge WONDERED "is this about security and politics".
Ridge wrote there was no support for raising the threat level within the DHS so he called Dan Bartlett, WH Communication Director, Bartlett said he'd tell the president.
There was no word back from the WH. The matter was dropped. There was no threat elevation.
Read what Time.com reports about what Ridge "Actually" ( the "actually" is Time.com's word), and compare it in accuracy to what's being reported on speculated about via CNN and MSNBC.
http://tinyurl.com/nx7o3q
Then compare the importance of what Sec. Ridge "ACUTALLY" wrote, to the fact that CNN has reported on it FORTY times! And MSNBC SIXTY-ONE times!
NOW make up your minds as to just what cable outlets really have an agenda here.
