This woman is pathetic. Using the death of a great journalist to advance he hateful agenda. Sick.

They are lionizing him on Fox News. Hannity seems to have been pre-empted for the night. It's pretty ironic, given that Fox seems to do everything possible to tear down everything Cronkite built up. Can there be any doubt that if Cronkite were still on the air they'd regularly smear him on Fox? Where did this sudden love for impartial journalism come from?

I wonder if this intellectual midgets even know that Cronkite was a news anchor and managing editor of CBS News.

In their feeble attempt to smear Fox they somehow try to compar Crokite to O'Reilly, Hannity and Beck.

To my knowledge, none of the above were ever anchors or managing editors. O'Reilly has been a reporter but Hannity and Beck have always been talking heads.

This only goes to show what lengths these poor lost souls will go in order to attack and smear Fox. They have nothing rational so they use a dead man. Pretty much sums up the kinds of educational backgrounds some of them came from. Losers, all of them.

He reigned during a time when television news was the province of the big three; CBS, NBC and ABC.
When you fondly think of Chet Huntley, David Brinkley and Walter Cronkite, and now realize that we have Bildo, Klannity and Glenn Peckerhead, you have to shake your head in sadness.

That link to anchor feuds is interesting, except the commentator has it wrong. Rick Sanchez started the feud with Bill O'Reilly a while back. I can't remember waht it was, but Sanchez made a big deal about something Bill said.

Re: "Corpse News Network?": Marty nailed it. I said the exact same thing about CNN in the days following Michael Jackson's death. But when I said it, a certain someone attacked me through tweets and comments to my blog.

I may take heat form this but I think it is going overboard when Julie B is getting "moved" just looking at notes on a piece of paper the wrote on.

I wish people on all the news channels would stop telling their viewers that Walter Cronkite 'broke the news' to tv audiences that JFK had been shot, or the news that he had died. Neither is correct.

I found the true history about this and other aspects of Cronkite's life so fascinating that I posted the full contents of an email newsletter that I receive. The twists, turns, and intrigues of his career are surprising and compelling. You can read the full article at the 'real backstory' link. It's the most interesting and informative Cronkite piece I've seen.

I just finished reading--with the aid of my speech synthesizer (see OlbyRobot)--the entire newsletter. Wow. That was quite a story, and there's apparently more to come in the next newsletter. Thanks to Steve Beverly, and thanks to you, J$, for sharing it with us.

I wonder what 'The Death Pool' looks like at CNN?

Who's in the top five?

Not according to Johnny Dollar....

Walter CronKite:

"It was quite clear when they founded the Fox network that they intended to be a conservative organization. Beyond conservative, a far right-wing organization."

Oh and is anyone shocked that a admitted Far Left Liberal found Fox to be right wing...I mean is not like he had a open mind or anything about Fox.

Now if he could have admitted Fox was fair and balanced...and the #1 News Network.....that would have been news!

And Ted Turner admitted that CNN was liberal leaning. Of course today they are not quite as bad as they were years ago. Maybe except for Sanchez.
