I, for one, am not mourning the death of Robert Novak.

He along with his late partner, Rowland Evans, were PLO enablers and outspoken supporters against Israel.

BOR did a great job last night showing how Jon Stewart edits video clips to distort the message being communicated.

By the way, I just finished reading Bold Fresh. Excellent book, a good read.

I really do not understand why it really matters if Jon Stewart does edit video clips, he is a comedian and a liberal.
Just like Hannity and Beck do the same to push the agenda they support.
But at least Stewart does his in a funny way unlike Hannity and Beck who just enjoys cherry picking clips for fear purposes..

Regarding the gawker article....

I BELIEVE Beck's the first one! The critics of the government are going to go....one by one by one by one!

The anonymous FNC sources for the TN NEWSER report are plants put there by the government as is Beck's publicist who is simply there to confuse us all!

O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity and Krauthammer better be careful! They're next!

You'll all see! I'm not a bed-wetter (wee weer)!

I never said I was a Haggis fan I was merely stating that why call someone a liar, for something that he said about Fox News, is it not the same as some of the posters going after Olbermann for something he said about O'Reilly,Fox News ect..
He is just stating his point of view, and as I have said before he is probably a liberal and with Fox News a Conservative slant, he would find things that most of you would not.........don't most of you in here go after Olbermann and MSNBC the same way, and please don't say that O'reilly, Hannity and Beck do not spin things to give them an advantage.

Al - please allow me to share a phenomena that I've observed here at J$P. It concerns first time posters (FTPs).

I've notice a trend of those FTPs. Those who specifically announce that they are first time posters quickly rush to support a certain established poster here. Those who refrain from any specific announcment of their new arrival, rather they are simply a new name that appears; those folks tend to say nothing about that same established poster. Simply an interesting phenomena.

I never said I was a Haggis fan I was merely stating that why call someone a liar, for something that he said about Fox News

Who called who a liar? Please give the example and explain why that individual should NOT have been called a liar by the other.

Yes... yes you need to. Because your "point" is vague, and (if it's what I think it is) doesn't make any sense.

Does that mean that ALL morning shows (GMA, Today Show, etc.) are all "propaganda" programs, trying to "spread the message"? Huh?

They left off "GE," and I've seen plenty of their ads on FNC. Gee... I wonder why they "forgot" them.

What an idiot at Huff-Po!

Damn! If these people had seen this sort of out spoken response against something like welfare reform at townhall meetings, they'd have waxed all sorts of rapturous about the democratic process and the essentially moderate nature of the American people.

As it stands now, all they do is impugn dissenting citizens as being racists and potential assassins and try and shut down any public entity that doesn't follow that same game plan.

If I were a Democrat, I'd be saying "Please, don't try and help my side" to MSNBC and media members like the Huff-Po writer.

I'd wonder how effective in the long run it is going to be for so many in the media to "assist" my side via trying to squash fellow citizens.

In the Bill beats NBC link:

Mediaite has a link on the right hand side of the page. It reads:

"LA Times Mistakes Olbermann For Jackass "

Dan Abrams ought to apologize to the LA Times. That's no mistake!

Today, the local NBC website found itself publishing a story about Olbermann and the Jackass mix-up.

For some reason, NBC decided to put it on their main page for the LA news, their headline reads "It's official. Keith Olbermann is not a jackass."

It's interesting that NBC feels that it is necessary to tell us that.

http://www.nbclosangeles.com/

It will eventually drop off the page, but it's there now, and I think it's great!

In many of the threads I have read recently you Ashley in particular have called Haggis misinformed for reading Media Matter and the Huff Post, why is reading those blogs being misinformed.

If you watch Beck and Hannity you are getting the same misinformation or spin to push the agenda. Bill O'Reilly does the same as well as Lou Dobbs and Keith Olbermann, if you read Drudge or the Daily Beast you get the same, it is all about the context of what you hear or read.

If you are a Conservative (Hannity and Rush), Liberal (Olbermann and Maddow) or Libertarian (Beck or the Judge) you are going to get differing views on the same view, it is about spin.
Just like some people think Fox News is Fair and Balanced or that MSNBC leans to the Dems.
I work from the middle so I can see it mostly as black and white. I understand Haggis' spin as well as yours Ashley, my problem with it all is that why gang up on the guy for having a different opinion. If this is a site about cable news then why not debate it, not call someone misinformed or liar.
Maybe then the debate would be a little more civilized.

Why does it matter if he is gay or straight, this has no relevance to how he reads or reports the news.
Another thing with all the work he does to bring awareness to global warming and the living conditions of children in third world countries, he shoud be commended not question about being gay or straight. Damn.

Al, I've heard that opinion before... and can understand it. However, I think for most people the issue isn't really "Is he, or isn't he," but an issue of truth.

Someone poses the question, and Cooper avoids it... that makes the issue more interesting. I'm confident that if he came out tomorrow and said, "I'm XYZ" he wouldn't lose (or gain) any significant viewers. In short, it doesn't matter... but as always, the cover-up (or in this case, the resistance to making a statement one way or another) makes the "story" interesting.

Well said ImNotBlue, I do see how it would be interesting.

I would not call it a cover-up, I would calling it a personal choice of not sharing my personal life, being in the public eyes as Cooper is that is all he has if what he does on the personal side.

True... and nobody is really disputing that. Cooper can do with whatever he sees fit and whatever makes him happy.

However, since here is so much buzz about his "preference," his desire to keep it private, makes for a juicy story. Odds are, if he really wanted it to go away, he would just come out, enjoy a bump in the ratings for a short while, and then go back to normal.

Additionally, I have a hard time accepting the "I'm allowed to keep things private" line, from someone who makes a living talking about other people's "private" lives for "journalistic purposes."
