Dr. Hill was pleasingly honest about why such great people like Matthews, Olbermann, and many in the media have been concerned about the conspiracy theories of a very small minority of Americans regarding the birthplace of our President.....

Equal time for the 5% fringe of the left would be nice, but I won't hold my breath.
Even at the height of the war protests during Bush's term, I do not recall Brian Williams covering the crank conspiracy theories of the left regarding war profiteering, US extended rule in Iraq, rumors of invasions of Iran, etc.
I sure got my fill of those at OW from the left!
And what about the 2004 election conspiracy theories?
How about the 9/11 truthers?
The same motivation Dr. Hill expresses is what is behind the "tea bagging" mocking.....the worries over racist signs at conservative rallies and of course.....DOMESTIC TERRORISTS!
Luckily, this is usually only fodder for the left's choir. However, my concern is how this poisons the news and distracts from objective evaluations of how the policies of the current leadership is effecting our country. That lack of media objectivity feeds some paranoia and creates more division.
