PREDICTION TIME!!!
If Dobbs does appear on "the Factor," which would be a great "get" for O'Reilly... I think Bill will play it smart. He'll talk to Dobbs about the whole controversy, allow Dobbs to talk about how he finds the story interesting, although not necessarily believable as of yet. And all that will go well.
HOWEVER... he will then hit Dobbs with a few questions about his college Dirty Sanchez... and that's where the fun will begin. If O'Reilly can start a mini-war between Dobbs and Sanchez, it will get Sanchez off the FNC warpath, while creating a whole new story to laugh about. O'Reilly doesn't like Sanchez... and attacking him from the inside would be sweet revenge!
ANOTHER PREDICTION:
If Dobbs does appear, this might signal the end for him on CNN. CNN might cave, or not renew the contract, or some such something like that. Dobbs would then (IMO) get picked up, not by FNC, but by FBN. Remember, Dobbs is a money guy who does politics, and would be a pretty good fit for FBN. He'd be able to do a half money, half politics program... remain on the radio, and perhaps build a bigger following. And while FBN's numbers are still relatively low, a get like Dobbs could really boost them upwards (even if his numbers aren't terrific), giving CNBC some serious prime-time competition.
INB HAS SPOKEN!

OReilly Plays Straight Man to Becks Scorn for Helping Others

Since the Horrible Henious Hens of Houndland have no sense of humor, they don't get that Beck is a comedian. They keep falling for his schtick as regular stuff.
They are easily fooled.

Poor Domenica Davis. I'm sure that's every female TV personality's nightmare: the mic falls through your dress on live TV.
Will this get double the mocking because it happened on FNC?

INB: Interesting thought about Dobbs future.
FNC is full up with anchors and I was wondering where Dobbs might go, if anywhere. FBN is possible. We shall see...

Can you imagine the commentary had this happened to Liz Claman instead of Domenica? Let your imagination be your guide.

One person is all over it at my blog: the usual "who cares about..." meme.

Re: "Straka slammed": Marty, please, take it easy on him. Also, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have made the E.M. comparison. Why stoop to their level?

MSNBC Ratings Suffering Due to Obama White House or Death of Michael Jackson?
by Steve Krakauer
"So was it liberal contentment or a Jackson focus that accounted for Julys (COUNTDOWN) numbers? Well see you next month "
~~~~
A prime example of the false either/or choice. Could there possibly be another reason? Could it be that COUNTDOWN's liberal audience is feeling something other than "contentment?" The rumblings heard coming from the lefty blogsphere indicate, to put it mildly, a growing movement of uncontented, unenamored, unappreciative, and uninterested former KO viewers.
Re: "Food trumps news?": As a regular Food Network viewer ("Semi-Homemade Cooking," "Everyday Italian," "Good Eats," etc.), I'm glad I could contribute.
I also like some Travel Channel shows. Can't wait for the "Man v. Food" season premiere next week.
Now, back to cable news.
I'm gonna take one for the team and offer my professional mic retrieval skills to Domenica for free. That offer stands for Liz Claman too.
Uh, yeah, me, too. I want in on the mic retrieval, too.
I'm kidding, of course. I have too much respect to do that to either of them.
My skills are also offered to Sandra Lee and Giada De Laurentiis. Not to Alton Brown though.
FF, on the Food Network store page I'll bet they sell a pair of those two foot long tongs people use when grilling.
You're going to need them in Claman's case.
This is no joke, the under the weather Liz Clamen just tweeted that she has got a case of bronchitis. Let's hope the condition does not affect the lungs. Back to cable TV news.
